Visa Assistance
I wish to visit Qatar from Nov 15-22. A friend is about to take up a position and I wish to take the opportunity to visit as I will be doing a presenation at a conference in London the previous week. My problem is obtaining a visa which I understand can be obtained from a hotel.
Does anyone know of a cheap hotel that can facilitate....and is there a minimum stay or do I have to stay for the whole period.

for one you can check with your airline as to whether you qualify for a 30 day on arrival visa .. it costs 150 Rials for a month .. don't know if they have one week visas though .. and from there you can stay at any place you like .. i know of a place where you can get some neat clean and basic service apartment for about 300 rials per day ..
