Yep, apply from your home country, show definite "roots" that would cause you to want to return to your country, be it child/spouse, business or whatever.  Have adequate financial  resources, hotel reservatioins, tour plans, whatever.  Have also heard that family in the US can be a hindrance as they are people to stay with if you choose to become an illegal.

Apply for your Visa directly at your own country.    In India, "cold weather" is merely a conventional phrase and has come into use through the necessity of having some way to distinguish between weather which will melt a brass door-knob and weather which will only make it mushy.- Mark Twain

It's a matter of luck for us filipino.

Even if you have docs,  still your chance is 20-80

(20 visa request granted)

just have the required documents, be able to convince the consul that you are not going to stay and work there illegally, you are financially capable to support your stay in the US and most important is you are returning to your country of residence if not your country of origin like Philippines

I don't think it is hard 4 pinoys as long as u can prove urself 2d embassy people that ur financially capable to go and will not be a burden in their country. Usually, they can determine this from the required supporting documents to be submitted to them but its NOT a guarantee.

Anyway, there's no harm in trying!

oh sorry... for europeans and westerners and some asian countries it's easy but for us pinoys it is hard really...
