A Kuwaiti court sentenced a local man and his wife to death for murdering their Filipina housemaid following a testimony by their son.
The criminal court found that the couple were guilty of premeditated murder and systematically torturing the maid before ending her life.
Their son testified that he had seen his mother beating the maid almost every day before the two decided to take her out at dawn.
Newspapers said the man and his wife took the maid to a deserted area at dawn, dumped her on the ground while she was still alive and crushed her by their car.

I seen so many maid mistreated when I was living in Saudi, some burnt with the iron , like branding a cow,,, too much like this, I feel so sorry for the maids in Saudi and Kuwait . Like a prison, the local woman have nobody to push around so their maids get the full force of it all. I happy to see at last one lot get what is duly deserved

@ GOJ and the others who posted, I appreciate your concern about your fellow human being, although you are of different nationalities. You are the kind that makes the world a more bearable place to live in. Unlike that insensitive monkey who has got a minuscule brain.
@ d'monk - you're right, just a few cases are given attention out of thousands of cases of abuse that aren't brought to justice.
It really just doesnt make sense why a family would hire a maid and then treat her badly. How we behave as humans is what makes us different from animals like monkeys etc.
I just hope that the sentence will not be reduced to something like a few years in prison when they appeal.
how old is the son again? At least he stood up to tell the truth....(must be hard for him).

What kind of death sentence? Stoning, hanged, electrocution, gassing or intravenous injection? I would not wish the last two for them.May God have Mercy on their souls as well as on the maid's soul.

I have no sympathy for them. I just hope that the sentence is not reduced on appeal - as they normally are.

Finally, after reading so many such incidents, a right decision.
P.S.: The first poster on this thread deserves same sentence, death, on QL at the hands of mods, mercilessly.
Some good news finally ,though it had to take a tragic death to come about .. Kudos to Kuwait for taking the initiative of giving these demonic maid killers/abuseres exactly what they deserve. Hope and pray they will now serve as a warning to all those other similar perpetrators both in and around Kuwait.
