Temperature may drop to 4°C today

DOHA: The weather bureau has forecast a sudden and substantial drop in temperature to as low as four to six degrees Celsius for later this evening and said strong and chilly winds would blow across from the colder regions in the north-west.
The wind speed could go up to 20 to 40 knots an hour and could be dusty at places, the bureau said in a press statement issued last evening.
The chilly and windy weather conditions would last at least 48 hours beginning later this evening and the situation could begin to show some improvement from Tuesday morning as the wind speed slow down.
“We expect the temperature to drop sharply to between four and six degrees Celsius later this evening accompanied with strong winds,” the bureau said.
Visibility could be quite low at less than 3km in some areas due to dusty winds. The sea could be rough from this evening with waves reaching up to 14 feet high at times.
The maximum temperature yesterday was 28 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 20 degrees Celsius.
Medical fraternity sources have cautioned people and said they must take care, especially of children, as a sudden chilly weather follows a brief warmer days that heralded the onset of summer.
The weather bureau, however, did not specify the cause of the sudden weather change it has forecast for today, tomorrow and Monday as it normally does.

That this the problem with not so smart reporting , the people at the met office said it would be 4 to 6 deg below it's monthly averages for this period .
