Be careful for QL long list of names, they are embossed into my toilet tissue roll.

So, I have never been in a Mosque. The ones shown look HUGE. I thought folks just went in them to pray. What else goes on, or are there just a freaking LOT of people praying at once? Do they have classes or community things? Voting stations? Food banks? What goes on in there?

I believe is in Smarkan, Uzbequistan.

For years the Soviet regime had it close and neglected.

Know it is a functional mosque.

Thank you so much for sharing those-most were so beautiful. My daughter is going into graphic design and I am hoping that much of the art we are seeing these days will find its way into her 'style' or whatever.

I really loved the 2nd one. It reminds me of some of the stonework in Florence, Italy. Takes your breath away. I definitely plan to visit Jordan, and now there is another place on my list!

The last one was a bit too Vegas for me, but Vegas is even fun for a little while. (Til I spend my $40 limit per trip!)

1st one I know.

2nd looks like one in Kuwait I have seen.

3rd one is shaped like an Indian Stupa.

4th one I know.

5th one is not architecturally attractive to me and looks like it's in the Gulf.

6th one I know.

7th one looks like Pakistan and reminds me of something out of The Jetsons.

8th, 9th, 10th, I don't know but I like them.

11th is lovely and looks like it is in Brunei.

12th looks like typical Khaleeji Post-Modern design.

13th looks like Las Vegas and not very appealing to me.
