Salwa Road may be allowed high rise buildings
Starting from Souq Waqif and ending at the Salwa Border (distance of 100 kilometers), Salwa Road is one of most prominent and busiest roads of Qatar.
However the local building codes have not allowed landlords of Salwa Road to build high rise buildings, which if allowed would certainly enhance the profile of Doha on the line of "Sheikh Zayed Road" of Dubai.
"build and they will come"
Nice new idea, much appreciated ........... ..........
Question: Given that Qatar has plenty of land - do we really need to build more high rises ?
How about going back and erecting buildings suited to good living and reflecting a country's heritage
