Qatar official holidays?

Hi all,

Can anyone confirm the official holidays dates and descriptions for the remainder of 2006? If you have them, 2007 would be handy too...

I have some leave time coming and I would love to club it with Eid holidays or something.

Cheers!

Correct mate!

Nobody knows when Ramadhan is going to start until it's started. Same goes for Eid.

It's the QP Diary that contains the approximate dates. Other (non-religious) holidays are known.

Pardon my ignorance, but moon cycles dictate holidays?

Does this mean they aren't known 100% ahead of time?

Unfortunately no way for me to get a QP calendar - does anyone here work for QP? ;oP

Rough dates for the Eid holidays are October 22 to October 26 for Eid al-Fitr so you will probably be able to add the weekend before and the weekend after. Eid al-Adha should coincide with Christmas this year.

If your company issue annual diaries, you should find the public holidays in it.

Alternatively, if you can get hold of a QP Desk Diary, they are normally shown in it.
