I think tghe most important thing is to consult your Doctor to be safe you and your pregnancy during flight before asking of any rules of regulations for travelling by any means.
..I visited to my doctor this morning..sad to say..she only permits me to travel until Feb 15. because i had a spotting case in the early stage of my pregnancy and its not safe for me and to the baby for such 9-10 hours travel...so i guess if some of the documents im processing now for my visa transfer under my husband will be later than Feb 15,, i might give birth here in Doha.....she referred me to Womens Hospital...any experiences there? What are the documents needed for my first appointment there?
..thank u to everyone who share their information...i got some details from qatar airways an hour ago...and yes some documents are required in order for me to travel and also the airlines medical staff will check me if im fit to travel...but only accept until 36 weeks of pregnancy with the supporting documents and check ups from the obstetrician.
From DOha to Madrid last, I was around five months pregnant and paper work was required, with docs certificate including LMP date and that pregnancy had no complications. NOt sure why, but I would advice her to get her paperwork sorted, just in case

A friend flew here from Canada and gave birth the month after she arrived. To board the plane, she had to (1) do a ton of paperwork and (2) stand up to the naysayers (airplane officials, etc.) in Canada.
when i was pregnant,i was told by my travel agent that i can travel till 30th week only. one or 2 weeks after 30th si acceptable, provided you ahve a ltter from your OB.
just thought i would share it here, to date 2 of my gf's who are pregnant went to see the doc here for a letter of permission for them to make a trip abroad for a visit before they return to doha to deliver their babies. on both occassions the ladies did ok departing doha and arriving at their destination(they only were gone for a week) and just before their departure date to doha they went to see a doc before the flight and were told that the doc in doha did a miscalculation on their pregnancy hence both could not depart for doha and had to deliver where they were at. so pls for those going on a trip abroad pls ensure that their pregnancy dates are correct (if they were just going on a short vacation and going to deliver the baby in doha). i wonder wat happened to the date screw up or are the docs at both the diff countries using a diff formula??
life's too short so make the most of it, you only live but once.......
how long the flight is and destination. Most International flights will not take you after the second trimester with out doctors permission just in case you go into pre-mature labour. I flew from dubai to Australia when i was 5 months pregnant and it wasnt a great experiance.

I flew back here at 36 weeks and let me tell you they may allow it but it's no fun! Take care and make sure you walk around and stretch those legs.
God with you and take care
