Actually, I am thinking to start new business in Doha as a Cleaning Company.
Frankly, I don't know any thing about the cleaning works & I have no experience except I know that type of service is so expensive, coz when I request from a cleaning company for cleaning & shining the ceramic of the hall "only about 50 m2" & they ask for 800 QR as cleaning cost for 1 hour work time!!!!

Any way, I need your opinion if this business is a good idea or not & I will be fully appreciated if some body has experience about that to help me to get idea about the budget & requirements required.

Thanks very much

Importing equipmments from Germany you will have a problem if it breaks down what about spare parts, technician to repair etc etc ..

I believe now that so many towers coming up Cleaning companies will propser provided they will not undercut each other inorder to get contracts which is happening right now.... that is why the staffs are paid very poorly.

If you can't change your fate, change your attitude.

All friends had mentioned about teaching labors the cleaning ways, I agree this must be, but what about the equipment & which supplier is the best... & from which country

I am thinking to import these equipments from Germany... is it good?

I have worked in this business and you need to learn a great deal. Many of the above comments are right most of the cleaning services don't teach their cleaners how to clean.

Most of all if you don't treat the labourers well they will pay you back by not doing a good job.

One thing is also important to choose the chemicals and cleaning materials that you will use well there are already three or four companies doing this job already.

Getting contracts will be your main issue and your might get one or two office contracts. Make a short survey and you will find out what your chances are. You need to calculate between QR 25 - 30 per hour to make any kind of profit.

TCOM is right...you'll need some wasta to get good contracts. And don't forget to pay your employees fairly and give them good living conditions and working hours. Labourers are very vulnerable and need to be treated well.

You need to train the labourers HOW to clean...

there are loads of cleaners here who don't know how...

they don't have:

the knowledge

the correct cleaning cloths for the surfaces

the correct cleaning fluids

i polish and clean my own office at work because in 4 years no one has managed to get a cleaner with

a)duster

b) knows how to polish

Getting labourers to do this will be difficult - not the labourers but the visas and it would be good if you knew something about cleaning and what are the ins and outs.

1) You need labourers

2) You need visas forthe labs.

3) You need accommodation for the labs.

4) You need uniforms for the labs.

5) You need shoes for the labs.

6) You need electr. and water for the labs.

7) You need bedding/ furniture for the labs.

6) You need food for the labs.

8) You need transport for the labs.

9) You need drivers for the transport of the labs.

10)You need to supply end of term benifits for the labs.

11)You need to supply return tickets for the overseas labs. every two

years or depending on their contract time.

12)You need health cards for your labs.

This is just a part of the costs, so if you can calculate all of this and the cost of the manpower agency additionally - you have to make a business plan and have a knowledge about how you would ustilise the labourers to make a profit.

What do you say??
