Such a country like qatar, who have all resources, why not providing proper importance in Pedestrian Safety?. Why they are not building any Pedestrian corssing on streets?. Hope all of QL friends faced the difficulty to cross the road.

Happy to see some of our OL friends have their car always with them, even think they are going to ride by themselfs on their funneral day !!!!.

Please note, in qatar even a tea boy can buy one car !

But in some time even if you have to cross the road. And don't think, that Pedestrians who you see while driving don't have their own car.

Hope i didn't post it in funnies.

It's also healthy walking,

there are very near places wherein you can walk instead of driving a car, I have had my fair share when crossing the road was quite difficult, but it's at your own risk.

Of course if the temperature is uber hot I'd rather stay home or ride a cab.

People aren't supposed to walk here and yes some of them increase their speed the moment they see a pedestrian crossing the road in the distance.

ha ha ha...... the morons here do not understand pedistrian safety. I crossed the road once and this guy just flashed his lights at me. I stopped and gave him my WTF expression and then he gave me the finger!!

Here is the difference. If you cross the road in Europe cars will slow down.... if you cross the road here cars speed up to stop you.... insanity

Pedestrian crossing ?

U r mad. those can be seen only inside some schools or in some big companies.

Pedestrians are not ALlowed in any way to cross the road.

Use footpaths (if its there ? )no matter if u have to stand the whole day to cross the road....:(

is take a taxi and make a U-turn on the next R/A (plenty of them) and upon reaching your desired place opposite where you came from, take-off from the taxi! Lol!

Government never care about pedestrian safety, just look at Doha Airport opposite to FFC. One time i have seen one young lady stewardes trying to cross and hit by a car in front of MCdonald at 6:25am.

If you have no car....

Then you must be a poor TCN and there for disposeable, and easily replaced....
