Oh those Indians!!!
As regular visitors to this site already know, the United States is in a terrible mess. Since becoming a member of QL, I have learned lots of things about the United States that I never knew about my country.
Some of these things are as follows:
The US is the most racist country in the world
The US is responsible for every civil war and crime committed in the world
The CIA is responsible for 9/11, the death of President John F Kennedy and for faking the moon landing
137% of American women have been raped
67% of Americans have been murdered. 33% of Americans are murderers
All Americans carry guns and use them
But one thing about America that you may not know is that the new governor of Loiusiana is of Indian origin.
Jindal, whose first name is Piyush, is the son of immigrants from India and the first non-white Louisiana governor since Reconstruction in the 1870s.
"My mom and dad came to this country in pursuit of the American Dream, and guess what happened? They found the American Dream to be alive and well right here in Louisiana," he said in victory speech.
Go for it Bobby Jindal!!! Lets hear it for the boy
no body can hurt you withuout your concent .
my freind Mr Richard . it is just you had seen your face in the mirrior . it is you and you are responsible whatever you are seeing in your face, same is the opinion among people. it is made by you (Ameircans) only.
there is a lot in history from vietnam to........................
128 invasions..
sabotage of democratic govts throug fbi ..
those who uesd nuclear arms as genocide fisrt.... kileed milloins
and many more..
and you want to inspect
still you are saying you are for peace .
All's well, that ends well...peace you all!!!

Whats all this confusion about? I admire the guy who started this thread for having at least recokned the fact that an indian is doing great work in the US....I too appreciate that...But now where has the story gone....May be i will also be one day on the list of american indians bridging the cultural gaps and on a platform endorsing the concept of Restrained freedom and oppurtunity for all....Utopian concept ....
Mrs, I appologise for making a rash and seemly mistaken appraisel of your character, this was based on what and the way you wrote your posting, which I felt was very hard and uncompremising. Having said that of course there is no justification to using WMD but it can be argued that there are cases where there use has saved worse suffering than there non-use.
We must live with WMDs, they are a part of our life and the threat of the use hangs over our heads. All we can hope for its that their owners are intelligent enough to use them as a deterant rather than use them at all. In those lands where the people still vote in their leaders, these people should realise there responsibilty to see that they do not vote in leaders who would use such WMDs.
Completely agree Mrs. However I would like to think other countries are smarter then that.
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
I respect all what you said. you have valid points, so are those Japanese you met. Everyone are entitled to their own opinion. I still insist that THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO JUSTIFICATION TO USING WMD. OR ELSE EVERY COUNTRY IS ALLOWED TO USE IT!
I am sorry though that you had to make a personal attack by claiming that it is a waste of time talking to me. I can only tell you that you are very stupid & not worth the effort.

Anybody into the the New world order thing?
nowthats a topic
I gave a link for downloading movies but i guess no one did it
If any one needs it do let meknow
very eye openning stuff
Unfortunately (Imho at least)...99% of the world agrees with you, which is why we as a race have done it countless times...and will continue to do it in the future...all the more reason to fear that we will be death of our own species.
That kind of mentality is just the opposite side of the coin of a terrorist's way of thinking i'm affraid...dooming us to a bloody existence =(
As I said in another thread....perhaps ONE DAY we may grow out of our infancy....but i'm not counting on it.
Stay safe all.

Timbo leave those germans alone
they have had enuf already - :)
Gas is banned under geneva convention. I however would certainly be open to debates and arguments if someone could argue that its use was strategically beneficial in defence of your country.
I think Saddams use of gas against his own people who were also civilians may have been a large component.
I see where you are going and it is particularly relevant in terms of today's terrorists which specifically target civilians and civilians alone. I suppose also one could technically argue that they feel that it is their homeland and values which are threatened and therefore total war is an acceptable resort especially as these terrorists are largely from countries which could not sustain an actual industrial war against the US and Europe.
I think that there is a debate in that for sure but would disagree because I do not believe the terrorists countries are at war with US and Europe or that their way of life is threatened by them so they have no case.
I know where I would stand however if my generals told me that that UK was soon to be invaded by Germany and it may help if we bombed civilians. Bombs away!!
WOW TIMBO
I am speechless
ur right then
But iam just surprised why was saddam ever made into an enemy when he killed iranians by using mustard gas
iran and iraq were at war
And i believe it was donald rumsfield who sold arms to saddam bask then too
Many of the soldiers are civilians just months before combat....but civilians who are not conscripted are only "potential" combatants...they are not soldiers....at least not yet!
If we absolutely cannot stop wars and must shed blood....then let us at least agree to limit our horrible acts to those who take up arms, and not the civial base from hich soldiers "could" be drafted...otherwsie you are on a dangerous slope and what's next? lets kill children lest they take up arms in the future against us?
No I think the Geneva Convention, while FAR from perfect in implementation, is at least theoretically on the right track. There is never ANY justification for bombing civilians, period.
Stay safe all.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
The soldiers were civilians and they are in industrial war. Most of them were recent conscripts from the civilian population. IF you say they weren't women then I suppose you were right but I don't really see any reason for women to be excluded.
Shuaibkazl I have no idea what point you think I missed but I don't think I missed anything. i am well aware that civilians were targetted, that is an unfortunate fact of total war. Just as the British firebombed dresden at a cost of 50,000 lives, it wasn't a nuclear weapon but the firestorm was just as damaging and the intention was to destroy the city.
In industrial war it is nation versus nation and the civilian industry and agriculture and moral are imperative to maintain the war effort. Breaking this is just as much a "strategic target" as any naval base or missle silo.
what i mean to say is no government should ever decide that the killing of innocent civilians is ever justifiable
not the country u live in and not an enemy country with whom u are at war
If that is the case the killing of innocent iraqies is logical and even those who oppose the present govt in US are also expendable
since they have the opposit view
I know what you are saying and I know the "realities" of war all too well.....which is why my views are ignored by most militaries as utopic...and that is why I fear we will blow ourselves up one day.
We are talking about theoretical justification for use of WMD on civilians....and defense of your own soldiers lives is not good enough...eventhough all the countries in WWII DID it without hesitation.
I still think its wrong...and killing enemy soldiers is bad enough (they are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters too), but to target civilians is especially henious...we HAVE to draw the line somewhere!
Stay safe all.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of
imperfection are we willing to settle for?
Timbo u fail to get the point
Thepoint is the bombing was a military strategy which wanted to breakdown the economy of japan
By not hurting the military of japan but the economic stability of the country
Japan invaded pearl harbour so why didnt US invade a military base just like the japanese
Because
The Target Committee at Los Alamos on May 10–11, 1945, recommended Kyoto, Hiroshima, Yokohama, and the arsenal at Kokura as possible targets. The committee rejected the use of the weapon against a strictly military objective because of the chance of missing a small target not surrounded by a larger urban area. The psychological effects on Japan were of great importance to the committee members. They also agreed that the initial use of the weapon should be sufficiently spectacular for its importance to be internationally recognized
I heard the same things black prince when I was in Japan. Actaully the Atom bomb was a huge eye opener for them as a culture and made them realize that the whole "Kamakazi" thing doesn't adapt well on a global scale.
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
Mrs, I can see it is a waste of time talking to you but I will try anyway.
The situation prior to the use of the atom bombs was that Japan was isolated, its borders surrounded by its enemies, its one ally German had surrendered, its situation hopeless. Due to its "win or die" attitude it was obvious that it would not surrender with the use of then conventional weapons, this meant that the total destruction of Japan and its people was a reality that the allies had to face. To save its own soliders and to bring the last waring nation to surrender the decision was taken by the allies to use the Atom Bomb. Here again I use the word Allies, this decision was not just made by America, it was discussed and agreed by the allies together.
One may call the Japanese brave and honourable, that their mentality would not allow them to surrender, one can also call this stupid, bearing in mind the facts that they faced, here it is a matter of opinion and the field is open for both points of view.
To call the Allies Cowards for using the Atom Bombs, is not only wrong its totally out of context. Please use the history books and look and read the agonising situation the Allies found themselves in and the days and weeks of heart seeking that took place before the decision was taken.
Lastly, I spent 3 years working and living in Japan and have many times discussed the dropping of the Atom Bombs on Japan with many hundreds of Japanese. Of course they found it terrible that this was done but they also admit that if it had not been done, Japan would not be the country it is today. As an old Japanese man told me, he fought in the war, he lost friends and family but had the Allies not dropped the Atom Bomb, he wouldn't have been talking to me, his children and granchildren would not have been born and Japan would not exist as it is today.
If you want to tell everybody your opinion about America, thats your right but please dont go twisting and ignoring History.
LOL Sayonara is goodbye. Konichiwa is Hello. :D
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
Ragnarock I think you are far too insulated from realities of total war as am I. We are not talking about the modern style gunboat diplomacy we are talking about defence of your entire country and therefore ideological base and homeland.
That is what WWII represented.
Yes Bio and Chem weapons are technically banned in warfare but we still have them just in case total war ever becomes a fact again. Just as we retain nuclear weapons.
Industrial war is not something we have seen in recent times, in fact WMDs have largely prevented it from occurring but should they occur again then they will be used again.
Mrs the above applies to your comment as well. In case of total industrial war to decide between 50,000- 100,000 of the enemy (and non combatants do count in that equation especially when your army is largely conscripted from the same base) and 50,000 to 100,000 of your people it is an easy sum.
was right & honorable, Timbo?
So what I understand from you is that it is justified for countries to use nuclear bombs to save lives of thousands of their soldiers?
This is more than naive, I think this is stupid!
"Be strong but not arrogant
Be modest but not weak"
S.H
THAT kind of thinking justifies the development AND use of all manners of WMDs (even chemical and biological and nuclear ones)...after all if you are saving yor own soldiers lives, then it would only be sensible....WAR is horrific enough without THAT kind of reasonning....it is NEVER ok , even in the most industrialized war, to bomb civilians with ANY kind of armament...and you are correct in pointing out both sides did it...shame on us all as humans =(
Stay safe all.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
Mrs using a weapon that saves thousands of your own soldiers lives to achieve an objective is not cowardice it is sensible. To not use it would have been criminal.
If you are trying to suggest that bringing in non combatants was cowardly then you are being naive. WWII was the first really total war and war was waged on an industrial scale country versus country. The allies and the axis powers both fully involved civilians in their bombing campaigns.

How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power
Rumours of a link between the US first family and the Nazi war machine have circulated for decades. Now the Guardian can reveal how repercussions of events that culminated in action under the Trading with the Enemy Act are still being felt by today's president
Ben Aris in Berlin and Duncan Campbell in Washington
Saturday September 25, 2004
The Guardian
George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.
The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.
His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.
Joseph Kennedy (JFK's father) was a supporter of the Nazi regime. Doesn't the Bible say something about not judging the son by the actions of the father?
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
Did u guys know that Prez Bush's Grandfather was one of the Board members of a Bank which was closed down for supporting both sides of the war during world war II.
According to the traitor act or something
Well, then I guess we've met very different Japanese. :)

I didn't say the Japanese liked the Americans for what they did, I just said they don't think it's cowardly. Of course they hate the Americans. Nobody likes to lose.
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
has any love or respect to America. 100% of them hate the crime that america committed against their country. At least this is what they confirmed to me. And I don't see any grey in that.
"if the Japanese had developed nuclear weapons first, they wouldn't have hesitated to use them, and they wouldn't have stopped at two"
Well Gypsy, we can't make accusations based on "IF's" & such speculations.
You were right when you said that every single Japanese man, woman & child was ready to die in this war. This is the nature of the Japanese people. That is the way they have faith & belief in their causes, and this is why I have so much respect for them. When it is a "win or die" case, it is a matter of maximum honor then. The americans were cowards, they knew these facts about the Japanese, and they decided to win the war by coward means....and they still lecture us about virtue (weapons of mass destruction)
"Be strong but not arrogant
Be modest but not weak"

Gypsy.........absolutely right and for sure the Japenese would have not stoped at only 2 and yes I hope also that the use of both the Atom bombs will make everybody think twice about ever using them again.

Stay safe all.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
Ah Mrs. that's where we enter shades of gray. In the eyes of the Japanese I spoke to, they don't consider dropping the nukes to be cowardly. They saw it (and still see it) as the supreme expression of Americas strength. If the Japanese had known that the Americans had this super bomb and refused to use it for fear of killing innocent people, it would have caused the Japanese to lose all respect for the Americans and they would never ever have stopped fighting the war. Believe me, if the Japanese had developed nuclear weapons first, they wouldn't have hesitated to use them, and they wouldn't have stopped at two.
As for every other nation being allowed to use nuclear weapons. I believe that every nation has the right to a nuclear program, that it's hypocritical of the US to say, we have one but you can't. However! I would like to think, that thanks to Hiroshima and Nagasaki no one in their right mind will ever ever use them.
Frankly I think all nuclear programs should be ended and the weapons destroyed. That's the only solution to stop any future nuclear attacks.

Oh just to clarify, I'm just waxing philosophical about how the Japanese think. The way they think however in no way justifies the act of nuking them. I'm just thinking out loud as I have a tendency to do.
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
"They would rather fight till every last one of them (man, woman and child) is dead"
I wish the americans would have shown some bravery & would have fought the Japanese in the same above spirit, and may the best man win. But to win a war in such a mean & coward way because you lack the faith in this war, that is what makes america has such a shamefull history & is arrogant not to learn from such mistakes, and thus be rejected by most people of the world. I think Germany has learned from its past mistakes but not America.

I agree that nothing justifies the use of nukes. I don't see the US ever saying that they won't interfer in any country ever because of that, since unfortunatly they are the singular world power now.
However, we are thinking about this from a Western point of view (even you MRs.) In that nothing justifies the taking of innocent life. The Japanese don't think like that. It is dishonourable to surrender without extreme cause. They would rather fight till every last one of them (man, woman and child) is dead. The Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings proved to them that the Americans were prepared to do that. The Japanese have since then proceeded to wipe WW II from their history books and minds. Rather then dwell on the defeat on the bombings they are acting like they never happened. Which allows them to move forward and have relations with the US. It's an extremely complicated and hard to understand mindset.
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
Nothing can justify the use of nukes.period. Hope no Japanese on QL.
Life is too short and if u r not living on the edge then u r taking up too much space.
I meant "USA" when I was using the word "YOU"
I was not saying that you are american. I know you are Canadian.
Two world wars have ended without the need to use nuc's. The mighty USSR which was occupying 3rd Europe has gone without the need to use nuc's against it. The war with Japan would have ended anyway (not important who wins) without the need to use nuc's. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO JUSTIFICATION TO THE USE OF NUC'S ON JAPAN!
At least, USA could act with some decency, declare to the world:
"We have committed an act against humanity by using nuclear bombs on Japan. Such act does not give us the right, from now own, to interfer in the policy of any country in the name of World Peace & Weapons Of Mass Destruction. We should even be denied the right to lecture about such issues."
This way people would know that this country has learned from its mistakes!
"Be strong but not arrogant
Be modest but not weak"
S.H
Wait a sec Mrs. I'm not American! I'm Canadian. We refused to go into Iraq, we only went into Afghanistan as peacekeepers, We don't have a nuclear weapons program or nuclear weapons (we barely have a functioning military). The only thing you can accuse Canadians of is being too liberal and peaceloving! I do not believe or support American foreign policy in any respect and I personally believe that W. is the Anti Christ (as do 98% of my fellow Canadians).
Now I could write a dissertation on the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, from both points of view. I agree that it was a horrific act, but I truly believe (from my personal experience with the Japanese) that if the Americans hadn't done it, we would still be fighting a war between Japan and the US, rather then having two friendly nations.
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
I am a big supporter to the understanding of differences with some people and the necessity to accept them & live with them peacefully because WE could be the wrong party & we are failing to see that.
Nothing wrong in learning from the mistakes of the past. This is wonderful & will gain you respect from all the people. But the nasty & ugly thing is when you use your past mistakes as a base for your present & future (mistaken) acts...i.e..when you (USA) see your past mistake (nucs on Japan for example) as a correct thing, and you start new wars on this country & that country, in the name of world peace & destrying weapons of mass destruction (while you are supporting the world's No.1 terrorist government of Israel, and you are THE ONLY COUNTRY who used weapons of mass destruction). Do I need lectures on virtue from you (USA) when you have (and still) committed all such ugly things?

well my country is forced to accept some bad happenings which happend 100 years ago as genocide. and a country is now using it to prevent us to go in iraq and chase terrorists. making politics over blood.
why not u accept it as genocide? and why not we do same?
LOL Mrs. The problem here is not who's right or wrong, it's the refusal to accept each others point of view. Is what my European ancestors did wrong. Yes of course it is. I don't defend it, but at the same time my government is trying very very hard to make it up to them. Right now, there isn't really any animosity. People can forgive each other for the actions of the past. We could no more control our ancestors then we can control our future generations. The only thing we can do is try and make things right right now. I can't speak for every Western country, but I think Canada is doing a pretty good job.
There is nothing nice or easy about having to rectify the mistakes of the past. However the important thing is to look past the mistakes and start moving forward, looking for solutions rather then dwelling on the problem.

"about being American is...we can joke about ourselves..."
So is being Swedish, Lebanese, Brazilian, Greek, Thai, Indonesian, Jamaican, Moroccan….etc…etc…etc. Not an American specialty at all
"and not be total a**es about it when others slam our country and way of life, unlike, obviously, some others on here"
This is EXACTLY what you are doing now! Being an a** because you are being faced with facts about your country!
"Now as far as the American Indians are concerned...I happen to BE part American Indian...we got over it...the country gives us some compensation for past deeds..but dang it...that was ages ago...we grew up and moved on.."
That does not change the fact that the history of America was built on slaughtering those native Americans & stealing their lands. The whole country was established based on those criminal acts. They can compensate you loads of money/wealth/rights for your murdered ancestors but YOU CAN NEVER GET OVER HISTORY.
Are you hinting that it is OK to kill a race of people, steal their lands then give compensations?
It is absurd that you are not ashamed of such an act, but actually defending it!
"The issue about Americans selling their own blacks..excuse me...BUT..in most instances that it was the NATIVE africans that sold their OWN people to the whites.."
Yeah sure! The Africans flew to America & begged the Americans to buy them because there were lots of them!
Treating people as slaves is more than buying & selling them. It is the way your white Texan boys treated them like animals and even killed them if they dared go to schools, entered restaurants, sat on some seats in buses or even dared to take a ride in those busses. Did this not happen in USA but in the UK? Did the British have the KKK? Did the British initiate the word "Nigger"?
"As far as making up to the blacks for what happened..we've been doing just that for as long as they have been free...longer than they have the American Indians.."
OK! Kill native Indians, kill the blacks, treat them like animals, rape their women…then compensate them & kid yourself that you got over it…just hide the dirt under the carpet! How much money would you accept if they rape & kill your mom?
It is absurd that you are not ashamed of such an act, but actually defending it!
I have a black American friend who tells me that she has been treated with respect in the past few months here in Qatar like she has NEVER been treated in her 40 years in the States!
"...so don't go getting your knickers in a knot about certain things until you know the facts.."
So stop lying, Scar! It is not nice for a woman in your age!
"If some of you wish to consider America to be the worst country in the world and responsible for all the ills of the world, then you need to get some glasses and check out your own country before pointing fingers outside your own borders."
No one is saying that America is the worst country. This is only in your imagination. It is the 2nd worst. The worst is Israel. Every body here, including me, is more honest than you: WE HAVE LOTS OF NEGATIVE ISSUES IN OUR COUNTRIES! 99.99% OF THE MEN ARE MARRIED TO 7.5 WIVES WHILE 0.01% ARE SCREWING THEIR MAIDS (159% OF THEM HAVE MAIDS)
"Nuclear weapons were used as a last resort in Japan, Mrs...America tried and tried to settle but they wouldn't even talk about coming to a conclusion of the war...and, yes, they did attack America first...something you have always neglected to address..."
Lots of countries attacked other countries first. So what? Did you hear of anyone use nuclear bombs? If every country has the right to use nuclear bombs when it is under attack, humanity would have been erased ages ago! Only coward armies/countries would do the crime that America did! It is absurd that you are not ashamed of such act, but actually defending it!
"Richard, obviously some of these people can't understand tongue in cheek humor because they have none..humor that is...I'm assuming they have a tongue and a cheek..."
Richard has got humor for sure. Actually he sets a perfect example to people from all nationalities on how to play fair & fun! But you are sick!
What's more, America:
-Confiscated the freedom & civil rights of its communist people although it claims that it is a free & democratic country
-invaded, and still invading many countries around the world & killed hundreds of thousands of people
-Was & still the biggest supporter of the most terrorist government in the world; Israel
-Its people claim that JFK was assassinated by the CIA
-Its people claim that Armstrong & his comrades never landed on the moon
Finally Scar, what you are failing to see is that lots of countries do not claim that they have the 'virtues' that America is claiming to have. Some of "us" don't claim that we are fighting to achieve world peace & a world free of weapons of mass destruction (while we use nuclear bombs against other nations), that we are democratic countries (while we fight our communist citizens because they are niether republicans nor democrats), and that we protect human rights (while we have introduced to the world, the word "nigger")

Shreeya : LOL! That was a good one.
What do I get out of 10 for at least trying to put up posts that look grammatically correct, with right punctuations and no shorthands involved? And what about marks for cleanliness?
Ksarat : Tell you what? Don't bother explaining yourself over and over again. Terramax's posts couldn't garner much appeciation, that itself decides who's the racist around.
Oh... the sensex crossed 20,000 points (highest ever) yesterday. There are rumors doing rounds on the net that that Mukesh Ambani is the richest man on the planet. No issues with Richard, Gypsy. The culprit is Tmax. Take any of his topics / posts, whether posted a month back or year back, he speaks in same tone always.

We totally know that Richard wasnt being Racist...get the drift girl...it is not all with Richard that this went overboard...
It was with another user Terramax...he wasnt trying to be Racist...He was...so it was just a peace of mind that a couple of us were trying to give him.
Thats all...nothing to Richard...hats off for his appreciation...and good luck to Jindal...
Take care girl...

Open Microsoft Word and do the following:
1. Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers.
2. Highlight the Q33 NY.
3. Change the font size to 48.
4. Change the actual font to the WINGDINGS 1
What do you think now?!!
----> The first flight number to hit the tower is flight 11
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11,_2001_attacks
Again not Q33.
Get the fact straight.
Guys Richard wasn't trying to be racist, he was celebrating the fact that a person of Indian descent was elected governor. THis is a big deal in North America as minorities are still somewhat outcasted from politics, especially first or second generation minorities. I say Congrats to Jindal for overcoming a lot of prejudice.

I am so disheartened, down, and feeling so low and bad about the marks I scored. I promise you Teacher that from next time I would put in more efforts to score if not '0' at least '-1' in your paper.
Please pardon me for being so careless about my spellings, I think I have to retake college or kindergarden, but Teacher, in the schools of Doha today at this point of time, there are no vacancies, so you would have to bear with my bad spellings for a little more time teacher, unless it calls for any private and extra tuitions. Dear Ksarat,
On behalf of Sir Terrormax I would like to inform you to mind your language in future. Here are some of the mistakes you are making repeatedly;
wudnt - It should be wouldn't.
Dude - There is no such word in Ox dictionary.
Munis - Shouldn't it be 'minus '? watch out for spellings Dude....OOOOOPS!!!
You should start every sentence with a capital letter. No body told you this before? Are you from Brazil?
And last but not the least, WTF with those 3 fullstops at the end of every sentence?
Sir Terrormax has given you a biiiiiiiiiiiiig O for all these spelling mistakes.
Yours sincerely,

Once again i repeat myself and likewise to what Rayyz has already mentioned...
I wudnt go into any specific community forum and bash out and lash out at people there...at the same time i wudnt be bothered to care enuff if anyone goes into a particular community and lashes out...what wud surely bother me is if anyone wud talk crap and go on an India Rampage spree on a few small things...some of they may be right...some of them maybe wrong...
I m sure constructive criticism is taken in the good senses by all of us...whether be it Pakis, Sri Lankans, Americans, UK, Scotts, Germans(i dont know...LOL)...but yea ... its only when it comes down to destructive crticism that the keyword "RACISM" steps in...and thats when we all come into the picture...i m sure noone takes destructuve criticism bout his or her own country...dude...be it even the Americans...they will surely knowk ur daylights out...thats the way it is...Key word here is "PATRIOTISM"...
Dude when u mentioned bout Filipinos...dude go and tell them crap bout the place they come from...to a certain extent they will smile but after that i m sure someone will leave u with tears...thats a plain truth buddy...i m sure if i talk crap bout the country u come from...to a certain point u will take it...but after that...u will knock me down...
And dude...if u trying to sound like a Physcatric Doctor...or if u trying to awaken the Inner SELF OF Us...trust me...u aint doing it the right way dude...
So I really think...u shud take it easy...
And Humour...o pls...i m sure all of us and I speak for Rayyz, Colt45, Han19, Nottoknow, Gypsy Gal atleast for us...including me ofcourse...ask a few people who have met us in person...u wud know we normally define HUMOUR...I m sure if u meet us u might have the same opinion...and by the way...most of the things by us are normally seen in a light manner except for when the topics come to India (i wud call it Patriotism)...we tend to see those specific topics with much care and caution and scrutiny...well thats the nature of a person who loves his country...and is proud of its very rich heritage, diverse culture, delicious cuisine, absolutely strong Economy, varied Industry Sector, not to forget all the lovely and pretty ladies, and ofcourse the fabulous guys in all we refer to this as India and its CITIZENS buddy... and ofcourse not leaving behind the one big munis point "Poverty"...

its when the generalizations start that there are problems.
I just like to share this with you all:-
My father who lives in Brentwood, told me that 2 yrs back in Brentwood, NY, a Mosque got fire due to electric short circut. All the Americans living in that area came forward and gave their donations to build a new Mosque ASAP so that Muslim people can continue their prayers. Also there was financial support from Muslims living in that area but most of the funds came from Non Mulsims (American Citizens) ... even some people came forward to help in Construction of the Mosque and who knows that they might have helped in building a Hindu Temple also !!
Why i mentioned this story here to let the QL people know the best example of American Citizens, so CITIZENS or what we call PEOPLE of any Country are not bad in general... (as said: NO ONE IS BORN BAD)
Richard123.... Sorry but you should have not mentioned the Community name in your thread, this way you could have got response from general public. Anyhow, I think the time is come, we should try to change the topics and start something new where everyone enjoys the Forum.
Cheers and Peace to ALL.

Ksarat:
So Cheers...champ...And trust me buddy...Indians are the highest number of English Speakers in the WORLD...
An Englishman is arguing with an Indian.
Englishman says:
- I f**d your mother a hundred times
Indian calmly replies:
- And we f***ed up your language forever.
Hope this ends the thread. You guys have a complicated mindset, no sense of humor and tend to see an attack in anything said about you guys. As I am not an Englishman, and I bear no historical guilt over enslaving your noble ancestors, I also permit myself not to care about historical reasons of you behaving this way.
I don't care why filipinos are uncomplicated and nice and indians are grave and instigating, I merely state the fact (and I have never met neither filipinos nor indians before coming to Doha, so I can't be called biased.)
You have a deep problem with yourselves, the sheer size of Ksarat's post is a proof, so be so kind solve it with your own inner selves and please understand that world around you couldn't care less for where you are from, rather for how you interact with this world.
Didnt realize that my anguish over a few posts was so long...anyways...LOL..

" Live Life To The Fullest ! Enjoy Yourself "
Evenin to u buddy...if u still there...I was jus gng thru this entire thread and i had to stumble across a few posts of urs...
A Few observations...initially bout this thread not being racist and its actually in line with the THEME of the Doha 2016 Launch..."Celebrating Change"...and i guess thats what Richard123 was actually trying to do...
O yes...a few other users were trying to have some fun...kill sometime...and catch hold of a couple of dates...
I wud really wanna ask u buddy, I was going thru ur conversations with Rayyz...where u had stirred up a different side to the coin that wud never wanna exist...
Ur first post that mentioned...anything u say to the Indians they wud scream and shout...was absurd...and u actually managed to successfully go overboard with ur comments bout saying on the style a few things are written...and the way Indians "WUD" understand...U went ahead and actually located another of my posts to another person...hmmmm...while i accept to the fact that U have done a lot of homework...what was ur point...I had noticed in that thread u had pointed to me about ENDS NOT MATCHING...
Buddy, with these things in mind...I really wonder whats ur level of Education...no i mean in the good way seriously...i wud wanna know...Writing sms styles...sign of disrespect...what crap buddy...u use that style of communication when u r communicating something informally...the person i replied to ISNT MY BOSS...he isnt asking of me anything related to work officially i mean...this is a god-damn public discussion forum and i guess u cud do what ever u want here...this is the normal style of writing a few things and a few words in the casual manner...that person asked an open question to all...its one's personal decision as to how to reply...if i wud have been writing this in PAPER i surely wudnt have this style...THIS IS THE VIRTUAL world champ...it isnt REALITY...so VIRTUALITY PREVAILS...even if it was a Mobile and an SMS...if thats the case...why did u write SMS...and not the full form of that word...isnt something i wud ask...but then a few words of English are written sometimes in a diff manner when it comes to Communication in Virtuality...and when in REALITY written differently...thats as simple as it can get...
If Han19 applauded and gave u a pat on the back saying THANKS for Correcting her...o pls I aint HAN19 and she aint me...while i accept that I know her as well...we all speak this way...now tell me whom all are u going to start correcting...this is the way it is...as i tell u again...if i were replying to my boss on an official matter...i wud have written it differently...this is a discussion board...O pls seriously dude...cut the crap...and regarding a few other comments passed by u...buddy...I really dont know whether u have come across with people who might have a better language grip on English than u...and trust me...when i m responding to something that is actually in its seriousness...i m sure i wud use proper language...and hey dude...language is a medium for u to get the message thru...so it really doesnt matter how u write it untill the message has been conveyed...i mean the spellings...i aint in an English lang center...and by the way the word is "SLANG" for ur info bout the way things are written in casual meanings...but the information is relayed across to the person concerned...i m sure nobody wud spend time in reading the spellings...rather they wud spend time in understanding the message ...now thats simple and being straight...unless the reader is a teacher of English...
And dude...u dont wanna be even thinking on those lines again...bout me being respected if i stop writing like a teenager...a person who has been in touch with computer for ages now...u know talkin to friends, chatting and all this usual stuff...its quite normal to be responding to unofficial things in this language...if u cant take that...then seriously dude u got urself some issues...
Anf if I may speak for a few other Indian friends ... We are all quite well qualified...and thats why i asked u whats ur qualification...seriously pass that info across to me will ya buddy...
And a reply to ur last post for Rayyz...dude i m sure most of us INDIANS...only start a discussion when something isnt correct...u check all the topics...always its been someone instigating the Inferiority feeling over Indians and thats when u have the backing up coming from the Community...
"Ask yourself why. Or ask your friends. Why nobody else reacts this way, only indians? If you are serious, think about it. It is something in your mindset, not ours. I doubt that you will be brave enough to face your own fears"...whats this mean champ...has anyone pointed out to the other community...ever...if u have to accuse a driver, cleaner, waiter, operator, executive, manager...most of these sections are occupied by people from the Sub-continent and mainly Indians...who else will be targeted...ofcourse Indians...its not in our mindset buddy...it is planted into the pages of the discussions...nobody instigates Racism for sure...atleast Indians, people who have always been ill-treated in quite a few places in the world and nowadays ultimately where the world is coming to do Business...an Invest...and i m sure there are other users on QL who wud agree for this...Racism is something that just sets in...majority by users from other countries...and sometimes with due discussion on a prevailing topic where someone steps on that peel of Racism...all of us on QL accept the fact that Racism is totally InHumane and Unnecessary...
So I guess...before making ur comments on people, their languages, their communities, their level of understanding, analyze the topic on hand, dont spill your beans over every issue..it isnt the right approach...
And regd my professional front, buddy...once again I really stress i wanna know ur educational qualifications...
So Cheers...champ...And trust me buddy...Indians are the highest number of English Speakers in the WORLD...
We understand English, Economics and Eco-sciences thats why the WORLD OVER THE BUSINESSES AND GIANTS OF CORPORATE INDUSTRIES ARE COMING TO INDIA...check ur stats mate...

" Live Life To The Fullest ! Enjoy Yourself "
I have said this before on another thread and would like to say it again here. In fact, since its readily available, let me just paste those lines here.
I have no issues with others creating threads for people from their own countries or whatever. I prefer not commenting on those threads as it doesn't interest me at all. Most of the times, I do not even have a look at them. But yes, being an Indian, if I do find people trying simply blast people from my country, I am there to defend it. Call it wrong or whatever, I think its fair on my part.
Indians are one of the largest expat force in Qatar, if not THE largest. Lets face it, you're bound to find quite a lot of those on QL too. Yes, a lot of them are really stupid in trying create threads glorifying India for weird reasons best known to them. Too bad we do not have too many Chinese found in abundance in Qatar, else we would be fortunate enough to find loads of them posting topics related to China in their form of broken English on QL.
It isn't a good reason for one to be a stupid too, if someone else is trying his best to be stupid. I guess sanity didn't prevail and end result was creation of this thread. Yes, it pisses me off to see few people trying to be smart at the expense of Indians, especially the active users from QL. We could have well ignored those threads glorifying India created by newbies, just like the way we do for other threads related to religion or general adverts/spam.
I hope that made little sense to you. By the way, while writing the above lines, I remembered a line from one of Russell Peters show where he says, "we're gonna get you sooner or later", obviously referring to the Chinese and the Indians spreading all over the world. LOL. Take it as a joke! :P
Cheers!

Rayyz - on a serious note. ANY post by non-indians about indians prasing them or criticizing them ends up with indians accusing the rest of QL-ers of racism. ANY post, not just this one. It was this way a year ago, it is still this way.
Ask yourself why. Or ask your friends. Why nobody else reacts this way, only indians? If you are serious, think about it. It is something in your mindset, not ours. I doubt that you will be brave enough to face your own fears.
"Anyhow your post just proves that indians scream "racism" without actually understanding what is being said. Ditto."
Have you even bothered to figure out what this thread is all about? I assume not. Please care to spend some time reading two pages over here rather than making daft conclusions. All this while people have been claiming that this thread wasn't at all about racism or sarcasm. So its either you who jumped the gun by saying Indians got offended for nothing or Richard indeed was acting racist in posting this topic.

Scarlett, every time you see "shud", "wud", "wot" etc. in QL you can be 99% sure the poster is from subcontinent. It is just a matter of fact, check yourself.
Other than that your reply just proves what I said - you can't say anything at all about indians without them taking offence.
certainly don't appreciate what you said about "You probably "shud rite like dis" for them to pay attention "...we are quite intelligent...and can read English...
And as far as the jewish people are concerned..why bring them into this conversation? Nothing was mentioned about that at all
I thought you were a decent poster but obviously not. Sorry for misjuging you...
Scarlett, I just verbalise what everybody perfectly knows but is afraid to say openly.
Ohh fiddledeedee.....
Richard123: no worries old pal. It's just inidans act like jews. You can't say a single word about jews without being accused of antisemitism, I gather our subcontinent fellows are the same.
No matter what you say about them they will scream "Racism!" even without listening what you actually said. You probably "shud rite like dis" for them to pay attention ;)
the American Indians want to help India indians get green cards??? That would just make less for them in the long run...more people, less land...
Wow! Where was I when all this happened? Busy running after sponsors! :(
I can't comment whether this thread contributed positively in any manner to QL's list of X threads. Maybe I'm too dumb to see the real essence of this topic!
But for sure, if this thread was indeed all about Americans and a time out to laugh at themselves, then I wonder why the thread subject was put as, "Oh those Indians". "Oh those Americans" would have been more appropriate, don't you think Richard?

You must be in the wrong thread. You are making intelligent insightful comments. These do not belong here. In this thread you should lower your standards to a level that is truly moronic. Otherwise you ain't never gonna join the club.
Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary. Mahatma Gandhi
Have you checked out his biography He is a person born and brought up there.... There is a huge difference between Indians raised in the US and those out in India...80% are still conservative and balance 20% is in the top notch high flying bracket.... Previously there were many canadian indians who were getting seats in the Parliament but not very appealing....
ANyways kudos to bobby.......
If the american indian can do something to alleviate our plight in so far as getting the green card in the US, that would be an admirable feat....
and i still have no idea what you just meant by they wudn in my opinion stand a few talks too...
few talks about what?
smulangad, if you are going to be so disrespectful as to call Native Americans red indians then you have NO right to talk about what happened to them, because you obviously know nothing about them. My grandmother is Native, and any grudges they hold for the actions of 3 or 4 x previous ignorant generation are now being resolved peacefully in courts.
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
we didn't MIND someone slamming our country..just said we don't act like a**es when they do..until we reach a certain point..of course I speak for myself...can't do that for all Americans.
Not sure what you mean by blood patriots tho...I certainly would die for my country if necessary...but I can stand a little constructive criticism on my country if its warranted.
interesting little tidbit about Bobby...
I can't wait to see what he does..certainly couldn't be any worse than what y'all had.
You took all the words out of my mouth - I was just too lazy to type it.
PWB, don't know if you are keeping up with local news but corrupt officials in New Orleans are dropping like flies. It has been reported that Ray Nagin may also be under investigation. FBI is not letting any grass grow under their feet.
A bit of trivia - Bobby of course is not Jindal's birth name. When he was five years old he was watching the Brady Bunch - announced to his parents that he wanted his American name to be Bobby and the rest is history.
Now off I go to Sam's. Have to buy food and drinks for my son's football team. Tomorrow is the last game of their season (thank you God!!). This old mama is tired.
You guys have a good evening and take care.

Yeah really! Do we need federal help...no...do we need federal help...no...do we need federal help...no...oh, wait we DID need federal help
in winter moved faster than that!!
Well, hopefully he make decisions quicker than Blanco!
he certainly deserved it!! But man oh man does he have a tough job ahead of him!!
I voted for Jindal last time and am proud to see he won this time.
I love how we have to beat this dead horse every single day...
about being American is...we can joke about ourselves...and not be total a**es about it when others slam our country and way of life, unlike, obviously, some others on here.
Now as far as the American Indians are concerned...I happen to BE part American Indian...we got over it...the country gives us some compensation for past deeds..but dang it...that was ages ago...we grew up and moved on..
The issue about Americans selling their own blacks..excuse me...BUT..in most instances that it was the NATIVE africans that sold their OWN people to the whites..and that's not just in America..England had slaves as did half of Europe..um, did someone forget to mention that fact also??? As far as making up to the blacks for what happened..we've been doing just that for as long as they have been free...longer than they have the American Indians..
Now as far as the blacks again...they had the right to vote in 1870. women, not until 1920...so don't go getting your knickers in a knot about certain things until you know the facts..
Someone said whites are the racists...pardon me but racists come in all colors...as does discrimination...so don't label whites as the only ones that do that.
and no, I'm NOT racist or discriminatory towards blacks or any other race for that matter..I have friends AND relatives from all different nationalities...
If some of you wish to consider America to be the worst country in the world and responsible for all the ills of the world, then you need to get some glasses and check out your own country before pointing fingers outside your own borders.
Nuclear weapons were used as a last resort in Japan, Mrs...America tried and tried to settle but they wouldn't even talk about coming to a conclusion of the war...and, yes, they did attack America first...something you have always neglected to address...
There...now I'm through with what bothers me(ok not all of it but I'm tired of writing) about all this silly finger pointing posts..
Richard, obviously some of these people can't understand tongue in cheek humor because they have none..humor that is...I'm assuming they have a tongue and a cheek...
Ohh and Oryx..we know how to use a fork and knife..we just flipped the fork over because you can actually get food without having to squish it all together so it sticks to the backside of the tines...
Didnt spend much time in Oxford personally, spent time jumping out an aeroplane for Her majesty, then went boating in Hereford ( the boat house is green by the way) were I learnt the finer arts of my profession which were put in great use on extremely tricky cricket pitches all over the world. Unfortunately didnt get to eat cucumber sandwiches, just alot of dirt and the odd drop of blood when someone shot a fast one at you.....but hey it was fun.....I think.
This guy went to Oxford University where the chaps play cricket and drink tea and eat cucumber sandwiches. Reckon its the end of baseball in Louisiana. Tally ho chaps!
Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary. Mahatma Gandhi
i may disagree with some what richard said but i wont. bec maybe he got offensive comments against his country, not critisizing but insulting. so i can understand him.
Don't ever say that here in the South - they would tar and feather you LOL. Especially about the iced tea!!!
That is probably because whether they agree with the sentiments or not - it is your opinion and you are entitled to it. I may disagree with someone but I respect their opinion - just like I want to be respected for my own opinions.
How boring would life be if we all agreed on everything - especially here on QL -LOL.
oh richard - why did you bother to be pleasant and share some good news... all the nutters are coming out of the broom cupboard!
any way lets hope this new governor bans iced tea and dodgy psuedo spots like baseball and other such horrors and starts making everyone drink proper tea and watch cricket
his influence can only be positive
Lisa, agree with you 100%, a good guy is a good guy, no matter what his colour, religion or background.........he sure got voted for what he did for others.
most of the americans i met (not many) were always keeping silence when someone blame usa causing trouble all over the world. maybe sometimes they agreed or sometimes disagreed. but richard's way taught me that they may be disturbed a lot. like i feel when someone blames turkey with or without valid grounds.
so from now on i ll be also careful talking about usa like i never insult and shame other countries. (didnt do that also to us but still..)
just empahty..
The Secret behind the number 11 - Pretty Chilling
Read to the bottom. Try it out. I did and I got goose bumps
If you are a sceptical person - still read on as it's actually very interesting!!
This is actually really freaky!! (Mainly the end part, but read it first)
1) New York City has 11 letters
2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.
3) Ramsin Yuseb has 11 letters. (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993)
4) George W Bush has 11 letters.
This could be a mere coincidence, but this gets interesting:
1) New York is the 11th state.
2) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number 11.
3) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11
4) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers. 6+5 = 11
5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+ 1 =11
6) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911.
9 + 1 + 1 = 11
Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and make
up your own mind:
1) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254.
2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
2) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year.
Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
3) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004. 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.
4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers incident.
Now this is where things get totally eerie:
The most recognized symbol for the US, after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Koran, the Islamic holy book:
"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The
wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah while some
of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the
Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace."
That verse is number 9.11 of the Koran.
Unconvinced about all of this Still ..?!
Try this and see how you feel afterwards, it made my hair stand on end:
Open Microsoft Word and do the following:
1. Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers.
2. Highlight the Q33 NY.
3. Change the font size to 48.
4. Change the actual font to the WINGDINGS 1
What do you think now?!!

Richard, I'm glad it happened too, shows there is hope for the US but if you were just happy about him why all the CR?P before it?
I feel the main reason he was elected this time was because of his accomplishments in congress. He has done more for Louisiana since Katrina then any other politician in this state. Also, he is not part of the "good old boy club" here - that goes for republicans and democrats alike.
Also, his getting 54% of the vote was incredible and historical. He is the first non-incumbent to win on the first go round. This tells me that the voters in Louisiana were not looking at race or political party this time.
People are "finally" ready to make a change with the rampant corruption going on here. That was one of the strongest issues that he spoke to during the campaign.
However, I am sure that people of Indian heritage are very proud of Mr. Jindal's accomplishment - which is fine by me.
What argument did I put forward? None actually. I just think that it is cool that a very conservative state has elected a governor of Indian origin. End of story. It proves nothing. I am just glad it happened.

Richard, I dont need the chillax pills thanks, maybe you do if I read your posting but thanks for the offer anyway. Remember you were the one that was so crazy about having a governor of Indian Heritage, go read your posting. You put it forward as a arguement against all those "terrible" things being said about the US. So what is it supposed to tell us, whats so mind blowing about it, that he was Indian, but apparently that wasnt it or? I mean a Republican got voted as Governor.....is that why you were so happy?
One only puts examples forward of such things to prove that the opposite is not true, that a problem doesnt exist, such as racisim. So an election of an Indian as Governor is proof that there isn't racisim in the US...........I dont think so Richard.
Whatever it may be..still I would like to visit Disney Land, Grand Canyon, Hollywood (I would consider acting too...LOL) and lots and lots of America!!! This is my own American dream and I wish to get it fulfilled before I get toooooo old!!!!

take some chillax prescribed by our own corrupted medic Miss Cornellian. We are just glad to have a governor of Indian heritage. He's young and smart and well educated. Why shouldn't we pleased about it?

"No one ever commited adultry, rape, got divorced or had a child out of wedlock till the US came along"
Governments/states are not to be blamed alone for adultry. People themselves are the major factor. If you (people) see that it is not a crime for you & your husband to commit adultry, if you see that no one has the right to punish you & him for destroying your family/kids & destroying the lives of other families involved in this adultry, and if you support abortion in case you got pregnant from this adultry, then you are turning your community into a hopeless case. This kind of community deserves a 'great' PM who is so polite & will be knocking the door of his bedroom in order to allow some time for his wife & her 'gentleman' to dress.
Such things has nothing to do with America or a specific country. The example of the uncle yesterday was actually in Canada, not America! So the people here on QL ARE NOT blaming america for everything.
Richard, with all due respect:
Germany initiated a world war after invading many European countries.
GB invaded many countries
USSR gave no freedom to its people & invaded many countries
And......a country called America:
-Killed the original people of North America & took their lands
-Slaved its own black people
-Confiscated the freedom & civil rights of its communist people although it claims that it is a free & democratic country
-invaded, and still invading many countries around the world & killed hundreds of thousands of people
-Used weapons of mass destruction on Japan
-Was & still the biggest supporter of the most terrorist government in the world; Israel
-Its people claim that JFK was assasinated by the CIA
-Its people claim that Armestrong & his comrades never landed on the moon
-etc...etc...etc
are the people to be blaimed if all this happened in/by a single country called America?
It is funny though that you have learned about these historical facts about America from the people in QL!!!
Cheers!

Be modest but not weak"

Lisa, thank you very much, you are right but then you didnt finish, the reason he got voted this time was that the he is a Republican and that the Demorcrates are suffering in the uS at the moment, the Demorcratic vote was split in Lo. and an independent took 14% of the vote. In other words he got voted in due to political party not because he was Indian, so why I ask do you and Richard123 place his election as an Indian as so important..........you yourself said it was a politcal vote......so why the big pat on the back because his indian.........or is their some significance it that fact.
*opens eyes as wide as dinner plates* mee...hey i'm nothing but a sweet young thang (:P) spreading love and joy everywhere she goes! love to all!
Alexa, never forget, "Sarcasm, is the lowest form of wit", so if the cap fits wear it!!!
You are certianly entitled to your opinion, however, I feel it is a great day for Louisiana.
But just for your information when Jindal ran for Governor in the last election - the reason he lost - he did not get the minority vote. Why would that be? The main reason was not because of his race or heritage - it was because of his political party.
Corne - We will fix the date tomorrow. Now going home after hard day's work on QL:)
Naah I was corrupted way before the US came along...it was Booo's fault...she's BAD influence!
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield
Charan, u lair! U only promised me with a date in industrial area, but never commited! Such a typical sri lakan! :P

If you can't change your fate, change your attitude.
aah even more proof about the 'evilness' of America; 'The Corruption of Corne at the hands of America' mwahaahaa :P
Black prince, we're just being sarastic cause we know the US isn't responsible for everything bad in the world, it's just cause alot of the conservative fanatics seem to link everything corrupted back to the west, which we know isn't true. Chilax! (my new word...a combination of chill and relax! :D)
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield
When I was dating Corne she was an innocent girl but she got corruted the moment she met a certain American named Richard123. ;(
To answer you're qn about the presence of individuals with middle eastern decent in the american politics 'scene', there's this Muslim senator that was elected i think last year, although i'm not sure if he's of middle eastern decent. But there was a big controversy because he wanted to swear the oath on the Quran and not the Bible.
It could be argued that the US is behind alot of things that happen in the world, directly or indirectly basically because it has an agressive foriegn policy. To say its the reason for everything bad is unfair and not true
BTW where is richard ? watching live ?
"Drink Beer Save Water"
Corne - You should have said "US is responsible for EVERYTHING BAD that happens in the world"
Alexa not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not
Oh come on Alexa, we all know the truth: US is responsible for EVERYTHING that happens in the world lol.
But blood on the bread ? ick! disturbing image.
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield
Ha Americans eat bread with half dried blood
Alot to say about America. But... Nothing is good
A country which is built on the dead bodies...
Where are the real Americans...red Indians?
Hello poor Americans…There is blood of innocent people on each slice of bread you eat.
Senti - Hide. let the big boys to fight
LOl third world war begin here.
"Drink Beer Save Water"
Richard123, you might get a black or female president, may be even a black female president, or - what the heck- even a third gender president (if San Francisco will wake up and vote), it al makes absolutely no difference, unless this president has and frequently uses brains of his own.
In a country which fulfilled a KGB dream of 99% brainwashed population this seems utterly unattainable. Just my 0.02 dirhams of course.
I knew it! Those evil Sri Lakans!
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield
US government was bought under the table by sri lankan centuries ago
To my dear American Friends
if you walk around and sell yourself as a "shoot from Hip" nation that knows all the answers to the worlds problems "basically, shoot first and ask questions later" then please dont complain when people overstate somethings in the US. Its never what you do, its what you are seen to do, that people judge you on. Of course these facts stated on percentages are untrue but first ask yourself, why do people say such things and there are alot of them. The US does a lousy job on selling itself, as a American friend of mine said, "why should we care, we are America, we dont need to bow down to anybody" this unfortunately is not the first time I've heard this out of an Americans mouth, actually I've heard it very often over the years.
America is a great country and does alot of good in the world but unfortunately its what it does bad that sells news and there is alot of bad out there caused by the US over the years.
By the way dont go slapping yourself on the back for having the first Indian Governour of a US state, it should have happened years ago, the fact that he is the first is for me a negative sign, as it took too long.
Only a few years ago, Colin Powell got to be the first black Chief of Staff, Obama is going for President but I ask you my friends how long have you had the Black community in the US, how long have they soiled away for the financial good of you, how long have they given up their lives in wars for US.
Jindals election is a start but it doesn't detract from the fact that their is still alot of work to be done in the US, with regard to discrimination, Gunlaw, Crime etc before you can really pat yourselves on the back.
Same thing with our QL Sri Lakan :P
Sri Lakans are bad influence, I bet the US govt is originally Sri Lakan, that's why there's so much corruption :P
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield
"oh and 100% don't know how to use a knife and fork." proved by our own QL american. He only use beer mugs:)
America invated Iraq to get the grip of Oil not Saddam's weapons of Mass Destruction. Satan:)
oh and 100% don't know how to use a knife and fork.
- (ooooops that one is true)
Hey is there anyone in the govt who has middle eastern origins ? I know there's someone in the military who has Lebanese origins...hmmm...What's his name? Abuzeid? I don't know. But is there anyone else ?
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield
"137%" of American women have been raped...lol
Thrilled that my home state has finally done something right. It has been a long time since I could say that I am really proud of Louisiana - now I can. Bobby Jindal is a fantastic man and human being. I voted for him last time around and he would have won if not for lies and negative politics.
After Katrina may whole family had bumper stickers that said
"Don't blame me I voted for Jindal".
He is inheriting quite a mess. He has already told all of the appointed bureaucrats that they can consider themselves out of a job.
Yes, of course Corne. No one ever commited adultry, rape, got divorced or had a child out of wedlock till the US came along.
"You don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me." Ani Difranco
I am not criticizing his success at becoming governor. I think its great. Who knows we might even get a black President or a female President.
Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary. Mahatma Gandhi
Not to forget that the US is responsible for ALL the corruption in the world. Everyone was so innocent, pure, loving and moral...and then US came along and corrupted us all! :P
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong :P - Garfield
Have you heard of throwing sand in the eyes? What is the big deal if an Indian became a governor? I assure he was carefully selected after making sure that he is good boy, and we all know, Indians are good boys, it is true.
It is not about America's rascism, it is about Whites' racism, the US is an immigrants-built country, so why should they take the lion share? They are originally not from that spot, so why they should be any different from other immigrants?
Lots to say, but dont have time..
ROFL, Richard you forgot that 110% of children are born out of wedlock. 100% of married couples commit adultry (85% are openly swingers) 90% of the country engages in homosexual behaviour.
