NEED HELP for Missing Filipino Engineer

By bobarcilla

A friend of mine wrote to me about his missing Dad who's working in Doha. But since I'm out of Doha for a vacation, I thought maybe my QL friends can help also.

His name is ENGR. DIOSDADO CAPIRAL working for Al Arrab Trading (+9744567009). According to his roommates, Diosdado left their accommodation 4 nights ago & nobody have heard of him since. Oddly, he left his wallet & cellphone in his accommodation.

I also gathered that Diosdado is having trouble sleeping due to the side-effects of the presribed meds he has been taking recently for hypertension. So one theory is that he may have gone to the hospital himself or he may still be confined there but we don't know which hospital.

The family have contacted the Philippine Embassy for help but I figured friends in QL may respond quickly than the Embassy people.

I seek the help of everyone who may have information about Diosdado or perhaps, help us get more information from his company the family would really appreciate it. I also seek the help of FILEXPAT members to please spread this information around & perhaps a FILEXPAT member may have some info our could be of help.

For any information please send me a PM or email at [email protected].

Thank you very much for all your help!

It also changes my perception of you. How heartless and insensitive can one get over a matter which is of life and death for someone? Was your comment really necessary?

Also, forum guidelines are meant to regulate the online behaviour of people and have a sense of sanity. Guidelines serve as the control instrument for the mods and are used for taking action against the habitual offenders or to regulate the online behaviour of new members. I don't see anything wrong in people posting their concerns or critical information related to this serious matter in their language on this thread. After all,QL and it's guidelines are not written on rock that there cannot be any exceptions.

I'am quite disheartened to see some of the comments above.

dcores, you have Filex group here in QL to talk only with Filipinos. In QL, it is a general rule to use English only in Main forum in which this is posted. There is nothing to be rude about. I believe you would appreciate the help people other than filipinos as well to find the missing person.

Alumnar is right is saying that MODS may delete this for being in language other than English.

Alumnar, I'm sorry to say that...."If you can't relate on our topic...try to find filipinos who can translate our language with you...you cannot tell us what kind of language we should write....we are doing this so that all filipinos could understand it better...."

Relacion at sinabing inilabas na rin noong Friday night si Eng'r Capiral and was assisted by Eng'r. Pascua (i think his officemate). Pauwi na raw po ngayong sabado (May 1, 2010) si Eng'r Capiral...Let us all pray na wala ng maging bulilyaso sa pag-uwi ni Eng'r. Capiral....God Bless to all at Mabuhay ang Pinoy!!!

Sounds like he pissed off his room mates one too many times. You should start looking out in the desert somewhere there are buzzards circling. Won't be much left after 4 days and nights. This is all to common. Good luck

What really depresses me is that I can't do anything personally since I'm on vacation & out of Qatar. I hope someone out there could help at least provide some information. Frankly, I'm not convinced about the stories I'm hearing from his employer & co-worker. Who would leave the house in the middle of the night leaving behind his pants with wallet & mobile phone in it?

Thanks!
