Need advice for NOC for marriage
Hi all! Me and my fiance need your advice regarding this letter of No objection (NOC) for marriage to both contracting parties in which it is one of the requirements from Philippine Embassy to file for a civil wedding here in Qatar. My employer already issued me such letter without a hassle but my fiance's employer will not issue him an NOC because according to his employer. our plan to get married is something personal on the part of their employees and it is beyond their control. Our problem now is that Philippine Embassy is very strict about it and that we should submit both our NOC's from our respective employers.
Please give us some advice regarding this matter and what should we do about this. Thank you!
Christian and Roman Catholic are basically one in the same, just a denomination of the Christian faith.
Don't they teach you this in church?
Other denominations:
Baptist
Methodist
Pentecostal
I am a Christian and my fiance's a Roman Catholic.
I am hoping and praying that PE will make a consideration for us. Me and my fiance just want to get married and start a family here. We have the complete documents except for this NOC from my fiance's letter.
Thanks UkEngQatar for the reply!
because my fiance is still under 1 year from his job. that's the reason why we chose to do the wedding here. we are kind of frustrated now but still hoping for this predicament to be solved.
Thanks denzon for the reply!
My fiance's employer gave my fiance his contact number after they talked about the NOC that he will not issue and sign. Our plan now is to go back to PE and let some personnel contact my fiance's employer.
I am really hoping this will get solved.
Thanks azilana7037 for your reply.
It a civil marriage meaning that you are both not from the same religion? Else why not marry in the Church?
It happened to one couple who were of different religions whom got married in Philippines Embassy. In that case case the Muslim official at the Embassy allowed it without any NOC.
If you could try to request a letter from Phillippine Embassy address to your fiance's employer just to prove that it one of their requirements.
If the employer would not really cooperate, you can go home in the Philippines and get married there, you will not need an NOC.
Unless one kind hearted person in PE will do an extra mile and contact your fiance's employer and explain to them (employer) of the predicament you are into.
