My bucket list

Tigasin321
By Tigasin321

Well I am getting pretty old so I thought I would make a start on my bucket list and that I would share it with you: 1. I want to live long enough to see my daughter grow up and make a happy meaningful life for herself. She is only 11 so I hope it takes her a long time! 2. I want to see all the religious people of the world live their faith by practising their religions and not advertising them (this applies to all the major faiths in equal part) 3. I want to see the people of the United States wise up and junk all their 300 million guns and turn them into ploughshares. 4. I want to see the NY Mets win the world series 5. I want to see global nuclear disarmament 6. I want to see Barack Obama complete two terms as President without some maniac trying to shoot him. 7. I want to see the rich countries of the world spend twice the amount of money they currently spend on weapons to spend it on improving the lives of the world's poor and no money to be spent on weapons. 8. I want to see India soundly thrash Australia at cricket 9. I want to have a conversation with my friend and fellow compatriot Red Pope and actually understand a word he is saying. 10. I want to meet Nelson Mandela.

True. 8 seems equally unlikely but hope springs eternal.

I want to see all preventable childhood diseases eradicated throughout the World. In this day and age where a vaccine for mumps, measles and rubella can cost less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks, there is no reason for little kids to die painful deaths from such diseases. I send all my free pennies (and encourage my family and friends to do so as well)and send money to WHO recognized organizations who make this part of their mission. I haven't bought a Christmas present for anyone for the past 10 years but instead take that money and donate it for this cause. Maybe it's just a small drop in a huge bucket but it all really does add up.

Thanks much for allowing me to butt in!

Hmmm...Obama serve two terms before or after Hillary? :P And you'd better hurry about Nelson Mandela, he's not getting any younger.

I want:

1) To see the first female president (or prime minister) of an Arab nation.

2) The cure for Aids

3) Everyone living by the code "live and let live"

4) Gay Marriage become a worldwide instiution

5) An end to domestic abuse

6) An end to welfare and poverty

7) Universal healthcare for everyone in the world

8) Women the world over be paid the same amount as a man for the same job.

9) To not be judged not by the length of my skirt but by the size of my brain.

10) To see the Montreal Canadians win another Stanley Cup :P

Men matures like wine...

One good example is Sean Connery, a true blue gentleman (my opinion) and still one of the sexiest man in Holywood though he's in his 60's.

That's a nice way of putting it. Maybe a little like a fine wine?
