Man cries as he gives flowers to wife on 59th anniversary
An ageing Saudi man wept as he gave flowers to his wife on their 59th marriage anniversary in an emotional scene posted online.
The man, in his 70s, read a letter for his wife sat next to him at their home in the Gulf kingdom but had to stop reading to cry.
Touched by his father’s emotion, his son stepped forward and kissed his hands before leaning down to kiss his feet.
A U-Tube film published by Sada newspaper, showed the man gave a flower bouquet to his wife before he read an emotional letter to her.
“To my wife…on our 59th anniversary, I present to you this gift and my love and appreciation…,” the husband said as he burst into tears.
“This is to my lovely and compassionate wife, the one who spent all her life to serve and support her husband and family…the one who made all of us happy…the one who stayed up all nights to ensure we are alright…the one who is still giving…the one who I will never forget her tenderness and affection…the one who brought up a family on good Islamic teachings…the one who has always made our children respect and obey their fathers…the one who is still working to ensure love and cohesion in the family…to you I say: I will never be able to reward you for what you have done for us.”
