Looking for a room, moving to Doha in October
By StevieRobertson •
Hi Everyone
I have been offered a position in Doha and I am very keen to accept. However, this is really subject to accomodation. From what Ive seen it is very expensive for accomodation.
The whole idea of coming to Doha is to earn great money and save it, not spend great amounts on rent.
Does anyone have or know of any rooms to rent, maybe you know someone with a spare room, preferably furnished.
Im from Scotland, 25 years old and just your standard normal kind of guy.
Thanks
Stevie
You can contact me in this number and we can arrange you the accommodation, which type you want...if it is unfurnished / fully furnished.+974 - 66975000 / 55907300
Where are you looking?
I am looking for someone to share my villa in Wakrah. Biggest catch is that person needs to be super animal friendly:-)
PPearceYeh, my employer would provide accomodation for the first few months so if it was ok i could continue to stay in it, or like you said, get a share with a coleague.Definatly dont wanna waste loads of cash on rent.Cheers
I'm from the UK and worked in Doha for a couple of years 3 years back and the rent is expensive.
However, if you can get your firm to put you up for the first month you should be able to sort a room sharing with another Westerner which means more wonga for saving/spending.
There's plenty to do in Doha and loads of Hotel bars for weekend leisure. There's also sports clubs you can join (football, rubgy, squash).
Good luck.
Also you can check the Qatar living, there are lot of rooms available. It is easy to find it

It is always recommended that you ask your employer to provide the accomodation. This will make life much easy for you.
I am also planning to move in October. As you said the most difficult part in Doha is accomodation. May be we can discuss further after getting visa. BTW, did you get your visa?
