Insect in food at Fauchon
Went to Fauchon yesterday for lunch. Much to our amazement, we found a fly in our food.
Upon bringing it to the attention of the staff, we were first told by one person that since its still crawling, it was not in the ketchup, but must have landed in there from the air, so its not their fault. Then we talked with the catering manager, who, to his credit, took it upon himself to attempt to set things right. I left a note for the Directeur General (I was given to understand that the general manager at Fauchon is called the "Directeur General") to call me back, but have yet to hear from him. Apparently he is busy swotting flies.
If you would like to consume locally grown flies in a classic French environment, Fauchon is the place for you.
