HI

By nightshifter

I just wanted to introduce myself.
I am nightshifter..................Hence I write at night. More thoughts at this time.

So.................................HI.................................................

I have a question , Does anyone know if this is it for the hamad hospital street?
Are the y gonna pave it another layer?

Another Question ............ Do you think we need civility classes, and proper human interaction classes for all ??

I have noticed people not being so civil, and they find it very strange that someone could be civil.

When will this humidity ever end ?

We are fat in Spain! In fact some of the shops we have in Doha are actually spanish, like the zara and mango at Landmark or few children clothes shops.

Wow, if you never partied I suggest you start with street parties, they are very "light" and they involve children and elders as well. The last one I went (last week) was the "party of the sardine"...basically you get free sardines and wine and you dance pasodobles for hours. These are all free and in the streets, so anyone can go.

great feedback. I dont know any Spanish people and never met any. I dont drink but I do plan to discover the social life there. My concern now is if Ill find anything there that fits, ive been told how fit the spanish are but I think that applies to lot of European countries. I dont know what it feels like to party the night away since ive never partied or even gone to a club but ill be looking forward to it even if the mere thought of me doing that is overwhelming :-)

Well, surely I've taken over nightshifter post now... :(soooorryyyyyyyyyy NS

Bajesus, it's fine going by yourself, Spain is not such a dangerous place and you will have more time to visit places that way. It's not cheap, but it is not expensive either...At least not as expensive as visiting cities like Paris London NY etc...

The best way to socialise is to know some spanish already who can introduce you to others. You will see that the nightlife is vibrant and very exiting...Haven't you heard of the spanish fiesta? we are always parting the night away...any day of the week. Having tried various places in Spain, for me the best nightlife is in Madrid...A couple of tips: Night life only starts after midnight and it carries up until 6 or 7 am. So if you go out at 10 or 11 pm, you'll be alone in the club! Also, not sure if you drink, but if you do, please be drink responsably, spanish hate people who behave drunkly and lose control. And all those kisses...Every time you are introduced to a girl, you are supposed to "kiss" her both cheeks, but not literally or she will be horrified, instead kiss the air if that makes sense..

Ok.. more tips I can think of...hummm, try to learn some spanish words before you get there or you will find it hard to communicate, we are terrible with english or any other foreign language. Rely on public transport, it is outstanding, especially in Madrid. Visit the museums, churches and parks if you can, you will be amazed.

Accomodation is cheap but prices are climbing. Transport is cheap but prices are climbing. Food can be cheap if you find the right places but prices are climbing. Have fun if you get to go there.

OMG, sorry Nightshifter, I feel that I have hijackted your post...:(

It's not so bad to be back here, Doha looks more beautiful than when I left it. The hardest thing is being away from my mother and my grandmother, but that's life...:(

Charlene, Madrid is only seven hours away! I would suggest you visit as many spanish cities as you can. Every region has a diferent personality, from moorish Andalucia to Celtic Galicia.
