...if someone mentions that they were bothered/insulted/read something against their beliefs ... the correct thing to do is to try and make it better. Not to insult them and talk about freedom of speech.

I think this is what QATARI aims to do and I believe he did it quite very well for QL is now in it's 2nd year...

My understanding of Qatar and its ways came from posts from the likes of e46m3, the_truth and charmed. That's IMHO...

What would a person expect when u put a bunch of different people from all around the world? Ofcourse there will be different senses of humour, and what I think is funny u might not think is funny. That is where "TOLERANCE" comes to play. We can't fire at eachother for every single comment, but sometimes it's ok to have heated arguments, and we shouldn't take everything personal.

But what really disappointed me is that instead of staying here and saying what they think HERE, they go and say what they think elsewhere.

Its all because of ......some people were trying to mess this place.. i guess all cleared now..we are kicking back again..Now everything is back to normal...its cool.

but how are things fixed? Some of our people are always ready to tear apart or even to put people in front of a firing squad for what they feel is wrong and at the same time they tolerate and somehow support insulting, rude, and humiliating comments. Maybe this is how they understand humor? I don't know....

This is really sad to hear people like Ram and the truth123 go off to another site and talk like that. Ok so QL isn't perfect, so what? It's our job as members to make it better, we can't expect Qatari to do everthing. So instead of just running away when it gets bad, we should try to fix things and make it a better community...isn't that what comminuties are about? Sticking together ?

Coz of the heated debates between Gypsy and Sputnik/cute.... both the members were banned for foolish reasons....

I know they're right...but I love QL as well. it's like a person...it has it flaws but the admins are doing their best to improve it.

QL has been my sanity stronghold especially when my MAN left. Like I said, I met a lot of friends in this site for the last 15 weeks than my entire stay in Qatar (running 2 and a half years now)

I just wish they'll be back...

These are quotes from nice people who have been on QL and they were active members. They are now hanging out in another forum for the reasons they explain below and in other posts.

The reason I am posting this is not to excite the patriotism of QLrs. And please don't make this a war between QL and QP. The idea is how we can stop loosing GOOD members. Some people will say that "it's their choice" I don't agree with them. Loosing good people due to misbehavior of members is not good. Specially when our trolls are recycling themselves and come back under new nicks.

Maybe Qatari has something to say on this.

We went to Rydges round 10pm, met Scarlett, Bridge, R7. We stayed there for an hour or so. My friends (not QL members) went to Qube while bridge , scarlett and R7 went to Paloma.

Nope, i didn't get drunk because I was driving but I think my dancing was passable for a late 30's gal...lol

Maybe if you were there...we would be a dashing couple, don't you think? ;-)

Yup! Just woke up and my body aches from dancing non-stop. Imagine me having fun with my friends and officemates 8-9 years younger than me....hehehe

I was there with King Edshel, m_daylight, Karin and Owen. We had a good run. The ladies had a greater time jogging and picture taking with scenic view of west bay panorama and the corniche sunrise.

i keep checking on QL, on and off.esp early morning and then sometimes in the evenings

lots of work and then kids taking up my time.
