GOD THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THE SOLAR SYSTEM!!!

heero_yuy2
By heero_yuy2

What is wrong with people these days??

Your son is asking you what the planets of the Solar System is and you don't even know what to answer that you have to open your internet-laden laptops to get research and print it on colored printers for your kids?? Pathetic! Pathetic people!!

You don't even know the Earth is the third planet that orbits around the Sun, you don't even know that the moon revolves around the Earth and how you see the different waxes and wanes of the moon with the bounced off light from the Sun, you don't even know that you can see Venus and Mercury in the dawn as the brightest stars beside the sunrise, you don't even know that Jupiter has a thick atmosphere and the solid part of the planet is small, you don't even know that the rings of Saturn and Uranus are made up of orbiting meteoroids, you don't even know that the Sun and the moon causes the high tide, you don't even know that the day and night works because the Earth rotates on its invisible axis...

...yet all you do everyday is to get paid for what you done, invest, get rich, compete with your boss, pray in your church/mosque, walk and buy some stuff, cheat your way out, work, work, and work and go cynical or blame people for not giving what you want...

...but you can't even answer or explain the questions your child is asking! A small science taught to us since kindergarten and mini-books!

God!! Shame on you people!! Where do you spend your life these days, people??

WHERE DO YOU SPEND YOUR LIFE THESE DAYS???

(very very angry mode)

Thank the lord that the Planets were discovered and named centuries ago. otherwise, we might have been sending spacecraft to the Planets, Bush (god of war), Chaney (Uber god of war), Tzipi (goddess of love), Pitt, etc etc

Let us thnk about the scenario.

When Galelio declared in was Earth which is rotating around Sun.....and not vice versa...

ANd the Christian Clergy found it blasphemous and convicted him to jail and then hang !!!!

What I want to emphasise, when we talk about Orthodox or Fundamentalist,,, we should not isolate just one religion.

Am I right ??

Abu is correct. With the exception of the sun all planets and moons (except the moon) are named after Roman Gods. The sun and the moon are anglo-saxon terms, though. Otherwise they would be called "sol" and "luna". However, there is the "solar" system, and some on QL are "lunatics".

Who is "He"?

"he believes is that the Sun is god." Well it is the basis of all religion; the Aten, anyone?

Why don't you say that there are millions of particles orbiting the sun. As long as they are confined within the gravitational field of the sun they are part of the Solar System. Now, you can give them names as you want, by size, by mass, by temperature, by color, nobody but you will care.

Did you know I can get fired with my job for, err, giving him such..."false information"? He ain't using Wikipedia in the internet either. He's browsing on an internet website related to his own language...not English!

He told me this morning that the ancient Romans believe that the planets are gods and what he believes is that the Sun is god. (I didn't thought he'll continuously 'make an effort' to research more in the internet for his son's assignments).

Wow.

Bonkers, Abu and adey. Bonkers indeed.

And I thought it was over last Thursday.

Richierich ...you are wrong....There is free energy in the solar system...or Universe.....

Energy which can be recycled or by which the earth is not abused.

Nicola Tesla had his theories on such free energy which were ransacked & his house burnt when he died.

Maybe the Solar System will have an energy crisis one day. And then you are as f*cked as you are now by the earthly financial crisis. But those who were prepared will show you the middle finger.

jack, it's because people have such a respect towards the so-called "professionals". And they live from the facts that they invent encryptic descriptions that nobody else understands. That's when they become "experts" and are paid high compensations. It's better to "understand" than to "believe" (not in a religious sense).

Yeah, there are a lot of people out there who think that there are 9 planets in the solar system (wrong, there are 8).

Or that planets orbit in a circle around the sun (wrong, they orbit elliptically).

Or that they earth rotates 365 1/4 times per year on its axis (wrong, it rotates 366 1/4 per year).
