Former Soudan Roundabout to open today

DOHA: Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is opening Nasser Salemein Suwaidi Interchange (formerly Soudan Roundabout), today. Further within February 22, 2011, Al Amir Streets Interchange Project will be completely open for traffic. With this opening, vehicles commuting through Doha Expressway can turn to all directions of the interchange such as Sadd Intersection, Al Waab Intersection (Bustan) or go straight towards North road through Garaffa Interchange, or towards south passing through Al Asiri Interchange, as shown in the attached sketch.

The interchange and adjacent service roads will also facilitate traffic movement and road users to all directions. The project was heading towards completion especially after the opening of this vital interchange as it links access to important establishments and sport venues. Ashghal appeals to all pedestrians and motorists to be careful about speed limits and to abide by the traffic signals and signage in order to ensure traffic safety of all road users.
