Five tasty n healthy home made drinks.

This Ramadan as heat is soaring upto the highest levels one can remain healthy and well nourished by taking these five drinks early morning  or late evening. 

1- Badam milk(almond milk) - (6 persons consumption)

Soak 2 cups almonds alongwith 2 Tbsps black pepper and 2 Tbsps green cardamom for 2-3 hours. Drain excess water, put all things in grinder pot alongwith sugar and 2 cups milk. Now grind it to fine paste and add 6-8 cups of milk and keep grinding. Strain it in muslin cloth and refeigerate for at least 2-4 hours. 

2- Mango shake with mango icecream - 

Peel n pulp fresh alphonso mangoes. Put in blender with chilled milk and mango icecream. Blend well and serve. You can add sugar if required.

3- Water melon juice - 

Put watermelon sliced alongwith its seeds, black salt and cumin seeds powder in blender. Blend well and strain. Serve chilled. 

4- Cashew nut coffee shake - (4-6 persons consumption) 

Soak 4 cups of cashew nuts for 2 hours in hot water. Strain all water and put all in grinder pot alongwith 4 Tbsp of Nescafe gold coffee and sugar. Grind it very well. Add chilled milk and grind again. Strain and serve. Chill it more if required. 

5- Best dates shake - 

Soak dates overnight in normal water. Deseed it and put in grinder alongwith little milk and grind it to fine paste. Now add green cardamom powder, fennel seeds powder and little sugar. Blend well. Now put chilled milk and vanila icecream. Blend again and serve immediately. (No need to strain because tiny particles give crunchyness in mouth).

 

Helath tips

1- Please try to avoid oily or deep fried food if possible. It will give pressure on your intestines resulting in piles or acidity type of health issues. 

2- Avoid soda or any kind of chemical based drinks too.
