Everything in Shortage?

Please put in your points of view on the facts about increasing prices here in Qatar...

I thought rice shortage was only felt in my home country based on the news we usually see every night.

But it was really surprising for me realizing the increase of price of a 10 KG royal rice for just a DAY difference. Imagine... ONE DAY!

I bought it for QR 43 per ten kgs and was surprised knowing that on the next day when one of our housemates asked a favor to buy rice for her family.

I cant believe I saw it clear, it costs QR 70 per ten kgs already.

Even cooking oils, before... i purchase twins for only QR 31 now it has come up to QR 42 (please take note- they all belong to the same brand)

Can someone put in their insights regarding this? Just wanted to know the facts of how QLers see these sudden change.

Rice and oil in China have increased by similar - if not greater - margins.
