actually jb, now I think about who you are, your comment was not unreasonable at all. If you were some random person from doha getting in it would be but you are not. Please accept my apologies for being so patronising. I look forward to playing billiards with you some day :)

yes, love working for them 4 years on cannot complain about any part of my job or life here. They do things by the rules which means they are fair employers. The Uk could learn a great deal about how to manage huge organisations and I say that as someone who was 10 years in the NHS

You seriously shouldn't even joke about it. You could get people into serious trouble, even lose them their jobs. I am not joking when I say they are strict, I am not talking about the gate keepers, I am talking about the company who employ them.

if you head towards the watersports (QP) club, then turn left, there are a couple of miles of deserted beach. great if you want time alone. make sure you take the cool box with drinks tho coz there are no facilities!

oh, and you will need a 4WD to get through the soft sand this time of year.

Yes but Dukhan Watersports club to use it's name is not open to the public so not much point in recommending it to the whole world. They are very stict about who they let in, we even have to apply for our relatives to get permission when we have them to stay.

Sorry, I disagree about Zikreet. It is a beach, it has sand and the sea and is a great place to swim. No, it is not a beach club resort but this question asked about the beach, not a watersports club that is closed to the public.

hmm i dont call Zikreet beach a actual beach....beach club of dukhan is good

Zikreet is much nicer than any other beach. Never too crowded and very clean. I live in Dukhan, the beach club here is very nice but you have to be employed by QP to be allowed in unless you can get signed in by a member.

Dukhan beach is that with Dukhan Club which is crowded on Fridays

MD 563Km of coastline? Does it include the Pearl Qatar or not?

By edifis• 2 Oct 2009 14:15

The Channa fish is a voracious eater. It can eat anything, even pet bottles. Thats why it weighs 200 Kg!

By anonymous• 2 Oct 2009 14:00

As I always said, Qatar has 563 km of coastline. It should be easy to find a 'view of a beach'!

I think so. If you only want to see sea beach then Dukhan is ok. There are no sharks but there are Channa Fish at Dukhan. Beware of Channa Fish! They are very dangerous, especially during the onset of winter. They generally don't attack humans, but if they are hungry they may eat humans! This happens especially when the Channa grows old and lazy and doesn't want to hunt, then they come near the beach to grab easy prey(the human bathers). If you want to be safe from the Channa eat lots of Garlic and apply Garlic spray on your body because, the only thing that can repulse a Channa is Garlic!

Have a nice swim at Dukhan!

Cya.
