Do you think any of the Indian/Sri Lankan drivers

even know there are new traffic laws? Have the laws been distributed in their languages? Would their employers be courteous enough to inform them (ha ha!)? Every single traffic accident I have seen (including two this morning) involves at least one Indian/Sri Lankan and I just have to wonder...

It will not make a DIFFERENCE on the roads being refused an exit permit for outstanding fines...all it will do is give more people headaches. It's hard enough getting a exit permit as it is, because of stupidity and incompetence. All it's doing is making things harder not easier for people! Oh and locals don't need an exit permit....fancy that!

yes you are right, exit permits will be refused and i am sure you know who needs exit permits to leave the country...

I think it will on the immigration desk, where they will not allow you to leave even if you have exit permit etc

is that you will be refused an exit permit if you have outstanding fines. I think this will help with enforcement. Maybe.

I think more than that we need to worry about people who have been informed about the laws and will still violate them...

Iman, every single accident that I have seen in Qatar involves at least one Qatari...other may be Indian or Srilankan... How about that....

.....You cant mean what you say until you can say what you mean....

for those drivers involved.....sorry to say that they all thought that they f'king owned the roads in front of them.

i don't own the roads, but just enough fees and taxes to use the roads...like any other well behaved drivers......

if you cannot take it, leave it !!
