If you are worried about the traffic, go to Dubai you will really enjoy the traffic, specially if your accommodation is in Sharjah and Office in Dubai. It is only 10 mins distance if road is clear, but will take you 2-3 hours to reach......it is true

oryx in Delhi the whole city is now connected with metro and there is a train every 4 minutes from 6 AM to 11 PM so you can beat the traffic, not the case here.

Each person want to showw off his/her car.

I have to drop my daughter to school and go to work, but when I pick her up I take 2 other kids with me to drop them home. It helps a bit.

Carpooling is a concept frowned upon here, I don't know why. Can sort out a lot of the problems on the road.

Do you know that the Traffic police is using Electric vehicles?

you can see them at the souq.

By Izzat• 3 Oct 2010 09:51

Charge them at home or at the Office

We need less cars - why no carpooling? it will help

I was about to post a thread on traffic this morning too.

Just a thought, maybe they need to adjust the office timings, start a bit late after the school rush is over.

You need facilities to recharge these vehicles.

1. Qatar should encourage small electric cars;

small, fit for traffic; zero emission = no pollution;

does not idle or zero rpm on standstill... many more advatages!

2. Qatar should be street friendly on bikes and motorcycles, better still if its electric

car accidents is not because of traffic but the temper and the discipline of the drivers.

1. You have reason to be late (if accepted???)

2. You can't go overspeeding (unless you wanna rammed those cars in front of you)

3. You have more time reading the newspaper (while your feet are resting on the dash boards)

4. You have more time appreciating those wonderful moms helping their child/ren cross the street and bring to the school gates.

5. I really love "dirty" traffics!

LOLZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!

I get to my office in about 5 mins.

The traffic over the weekend, THUR & FRI night was abysmal... the traffic lights at Gulf Cinema were on, but they had cops controlling the traffic and it was just chaos. It was the same at the Mall roundabout and E-Ring road :-(

If you think Doha traffic is bad go to Delhi...

If you think Delhi traffic is bad go to China...they have traffic jams where people are in their cars for 9 days.

Its getting better here....the new road system is slowly helping
