Finally
The question is, What makes the human to turn into a MURDERS ?
FathimaH ,, Thank you very much, i have nothing to add
but As you mentioned we Must not lose the trust of all people, cause we still have good ones :)
Despite the darkness and scariness of it all, one can truly learn a lot when researching how any notorious criminal came to being what they are from what they were. Some lessons:
*We are warned that a person may not be what they appear to be, and whilst we do not act all paranoid and suspicious of everyone we meet, we still must practice much caution in our interactions with new acquaintances and strangers. Mama knew much when she warned us with the do not talk to strangers bit! And wolves in sheep's clothing is not a myth!
*We must likewise teach our children to be extremely careful when faced with strangers specially when unaccompanied by parents/guardians and teach them about the birds, the bees and the beasts! Trying to keep children innocent of the real world can be pure folly and predators out there can use this against you and them, God forbid.
* We must be mindful of our children at all times. Neglect is a form of abuse and can bring on dire consequences . Always be watchful of where they go, who they befriend, how they spend their spare time, etc. And keep an eye open for any drastic changes in their personalities and moods.
*A common sign of many a serial killer was them taking glee in abusing and killing animals. Thus never underestimate and tolerate such cruelty in kids!
* The age old adage of always check your locks, and make sure you are always on your guard when going out unaccompanied should never be neglected.
* Be aware of those around you and your surroundings. Again many a criminal was caught thanks to attentive neighbors.
A fact of life is one must always learn from the mistakes of others, sad as it maybe!
It has to change from what parents want to what the children want.
maybe it is a part of the problem
Stalin's mother wanted him to be a priest, too. And he spent time in a seminary.
About hitler
It was his father's mistake ,, hitler was singing in the church and he was considered becoming a priest, he wanted to be an artist, while his father wanted him to follow his steps by working in the customs bureau.
So, watch out, don't stand in front of you children dreams, they might kill what remains from Jews :)
Maybe. But in my view, the only inequality is the number they murdered. Hitler, Stalin and Mao are said to have had troubled childhoods. They were sadists, rapists, and murderers who cultivated a following not unlike these guys--just on a grander scale.
@Bachus
Those are Monsters
we are talking about "Invercargill" Criminals
Can't be equal
What about all the murderers who rise to power? Stalin, Hitler, Mao, etc. all had a good run.
zabejaia ,, thanks for the addition
Good point of view ,,
It's the societe where they live that cause psychopathy.
The Victims are weak people who can not fight to express their ideas in the family, at work, in their schools or the comunity where they live ....
So to escape this hard life environment, they create and live in their own world, environment with their own laws and their own visions of life and pleausre .
All criminals have a common point is that they feel they are rejected by society, their family, etc. ..... So They Become abnormal.
Then they become criminals, to avenge against the society ,the country ,the school ,the friends that does not respect them.
All of them are psychopaths (Bush, Bin Laden, Hitler, Sharon, etc. ..........)
MN-01 I agree :)
I have work and i am sociable person ,, and i love somebody more than anything ,,,,
there's no particular reason but it is associated with and identified as a violent trait of ASPD (anti-social personality disorder)
Psychopaths are people thatw know what's good for them but simply don't care about anyone but themselves.
Most criminals eventually pull out the remorse card or try to justify that their behavior is right, or lie about the real motive for their violent behavior.
Most of these criminals despite their serious mental issues, they can still function and lead a perfectly normal life.
For example they are able to work, have friends and socialize.
And they have somebody in their live they love more than anything.
It's other people they care nothing about nor would feel any pain in destroying them.
What causes psychopathy?
brit How can a man turn into a psychopath ?
Because they are psychopaths or just get a kick from it..
boxbe13... corrected from 12 to 13 ;)
brit ,, childhood abuse is one of the main reasons and not the only one
can you give us another reason?
No excuses
boxbe13 and MM... ur comments are hilarious!
Sulieman was looking for an explanation as to why people become serial killers. To ignore the link to childhood abuse would be foolish. It doesn't excuse what they did, but we aren't looking to excuse what they did, we're looking to explain.
You should include Bashar Al-Assad on your list...
iam 13 and not 12 :(
When will we stop dragging out the same old excuse regarding childhood abuse ?
I think the conspiracy theories about Jack the Ripper are far more exciting than who he probably actually was. He was probably John Smith Jr. from down the pub. Much more exciting to think he was the Prince of Wales.
both...like father like son...:P
boxbe13... bush as in george bush?? which one sr. or jr. ??? ... ur comment cracked me up... LOL
i agree with ameers .. JTR , was a mystery .... it is even calimed that few ppl have just used his name for murders as well
You forgot bush
aamerz
oooh, Am sorry, this was an information about "Jack the ripper episode 2" :)
he had a follower who killed 3 victims
sulieman my friend... with all due respect to you, this is the 1st time that i've heard that jack the ripper failed to be a doctor or that he was married... as far as i know (and believe me, i've read lots n lots), his identity remains a mystery to this day... this is why his story is kind of classic... there's no clue whatsoever and yet it commands the most attention...
for committing a crime.. See below for instance..
http://edition.cnn.com/2013/04/22/us/boston-attack/index.html?hpt=hp_t1
I believe if behaviours can be identified as "abnormal" , a doctor intervention at right age , when one can influence the immature mind can make a difference.... its tendency that has to be identified , nopt actual killing....
ppl take care of their Bps and blood sugars , as it is TENDECY in family and go for early checkups , so why not an abnormal behaviour , or abnormal past ,or an abnormal childhood sholud be reported and taken to the docs !!!!
strom i agree with you
aamerz Jack the ripper failed to be a doctor and lost his first child -she died in early age- and he married another women while he was already married.
-does it look like a very normal life- :)
BTW sometimes people kill for JOY
Strom, teaching people to identify warning signs of psychopathy in early childhood may indeed help prevent these crimes. Many killers started out hurting & killing small animals, or committing petty crimes.
However, the big issue than becomes, what do you do with a child who shows the ability to become a killer but hasn't actually killed anyone yet?
then there's the classic whodunit jack the ripper... no clues to the identity... no motive... no outlook... and yet, countless conspiracies...
aamerz
I partially agree with you
but there are types of psychopaths, some of them are obviously noticed and some have backstage personality.
reading your post sulieman and MM addition to it , it seems like a an inherited trait ... or reaction would be a more appropraite word ...
I believe in our world still visiting a Psychologist or a psychiatrics for your mental illness or disorder is not accepted , it will term as mental or crazy.
if a child with unusual behaviour is taken to doc , i guess we can minimize many crimes , if not totally eliminated .
I think they definitely do act normal and kind. That's how they attract their victims.
Miss mimi, none of the these 6 men were kind of normal.
but don't you think that some of sick people can act "kindness" !!, and if you were a criminal you have to act that u r a good person to make the victims feel comfortable to trust and move to the nest step.
We can't say that there is something absolutely right.
and i agree, being with a childhood problems will not make all of us murderers.
Some had normal childhood's aamerz, but the majority were abused.
sulieman... you can NEVER predict the action of a psychopath or sociopath... this is primarily the reason that all of the above were able to go on extensive killing sprees right under the nose of the authorities...
sulieman... u missed a few names... ted bundy, the boston strangler, bela kiss, ian brady & myra hindley (the moor murderers), paul bernando & karla homolka (husband/wife team), peter kurtuen (vampire of dusseldorf) and the most famous of all --- jack the ripper!!!
soniya... i agree with you that their mind set was disgusting... however, if you look at their backgrounds, most of them suffered sexual abuse in its most vile form... parents were violent alcoholics not to mention poverty was a striking factor...
but then, there were some who did it for pure satisfaction like peter kurtuen who i mentioned above... he used to derive satisfaction from killing like a kid derives satisfaction in a candy store...
MM... i've read extensively on them... some of them had perfectly kind and normal childhoods with loving parents and wealthy backgrounds... they were raised with morals and values but it was during growing up that they started experiencing sadistic tendencies...
Suleiman none of these men were kind or normal, they were sociopaths. Sociopaths are very very good at fitting in with the rest of society, while feeling completely separate and superior to it.
There are some psychiatrists who believe that a high proportion of the population suffers from some kind sociopathic disorder, however, only a handful of these people will go on to become criminals, and an even smaller percentage will go on to become killers.
Perhaps this is because, even if you have a sociopathic disorder if you're raised in a loving, stable environment you can still learn morals and values, even if you don't necessarily truly understand them, and most sociopaths are lucky enough to be raised in this type of environment.
Unfortunately, you have others who are born into abusive environments which makes their condition worse and negates any chance of learning values and morals, but rather instills in them the desire to hurt others.
PARROT999 we still have the hope of that peaceful world, we still have the good humans and we will always have :)
gene_lv yes, that's why we have to take care of our children and to take care of them in the childhood period, is it the foundation and the BASE of their other stages in their life.,
Man is by nature good but, it is the environment that makes them bad.
Miss mimi , thanks for you addition
You can easily predict the action of an psychopath person, there is a huge possibly for him to be a murder, specially who had a bad childhood, they will think that they can Revenge by doing crimes.
when i mentioned the "The kind and normal" type, i meant they are more dangerous cause we will not have a clue of there acts, and the smarter the worst.
Soniya i have a photos for the most of the victims, and some of the crime scene, i really felt angry and sick, and i didn't have the balls to but it here.
PRAY FOR A PEACEFUL WORLD
Andrei Chikatilo:
Throughout his childhood, Chikatilo was repeatedly told by his mother, Anna, that prior to his birth, an older brother of his named Stepan had been kidnapped and cannibalized by starving neighbors, although it has never been independently established whether this incident actually occurred.[4]
Chikatilo's parents were both farm labourers who lived in a one-room hut.[5] As a child, Chikatilo slept on a single bed with his parents. He was a chronic bed wetter[6] and was berated and beaten by his mother for each offense.
Luis Alfredo Garavito
was born on 25 January 1957 in Génova, Quindío, Colombia. He is the oldest of seven brothers and apparently suffered physical and emotional abuse at the hands of his father. In his testimony, he described being a victim of sexual abuse when young.
Daniel CAMARGO BARBOSA
Camargo's mother died when he was a little boy and his father was overbearing and emotionally distant. He was raised by an abusive stepmother, who punished him and sometimes dressed him in girls' clothing, making him a victim of ridicule in front of his peers.
Not much about Yang available I'm afraid.
Torture or exploitation during childhood might be the reason for them to turn into a criminal at later stage..
I have seen documentaries on these MURDERERS sometime back in DISCOVERY or any other channel..
I filled with anger at the time of watching it...It was really disgusting to find out their CRIMINAL mind..
Well i can't say what made them to do such HEINOUS ACT but they really deserved DEATH PENALTY for their barbaric act....
It's hard to say. Although many of them do come from extremely abusive childhoods. For example:
Albert Fish:
His family had a history of mental illness. His uncle suffered from religious mania. A brother was confined in a state mental hospital. His sister was diagnosed with a "mental affliction". Three other relatives were diagnosed with mental illnesses and his mother had "aural and/or visual hallucinations".[10][11] His father had been a river boat captain, but by 1870 he was a fertilizer manufacturer.[9] The elder Fish died in 1875 at the Sixth Street Station of the Pennsylvania Railroad in Washington, D.C. of a myocardial infarction. Fish's mother then put him into Saint John's Orphanage in Washington, where he was frequently treated sadistically. He began to enjoy the physical pain that the beatings brought.[12] Of his time at the orphanage, Fish remarked, "I was there till I was nearly nine, and that's where I got started wrong. We were unmercifully whipped. I saw boys doing many things they should not have done."
John Wayne Gacy:
He was close to his two sisters and mother, but endured a difficult relationship with his father, an alcoholic who was physically abusive toward his wife and children.[5][6]
Throughout his childhood, Gacy strove to make his father proud of him, but seldom received his approval: one of Gacy's earliest childhood memories was of being beaten with a leather belt by his father at the age of 4 for accidentally disarranging car engine components his father had assembled.
At the age of 9, Gacy was molested by a family friend,[6] a contractor who would take Gacy for rides in his truck, then fondle him. Gacy never told his father about these incidents as he was afraid his father would blame him.
**********************************************************
None of this excuses what they did, but it does offer some explanation of why. Some people are simply born more mentally fragile than others and abuse pushes them over the edge.
soniya ,, yes they are
but nobody born to find him/herself as a criminal
what changed them
and btw did you saw the victims ages, that's really make me sick
They are SICK from inside...
No one can help them out..
