City Center Parking Rates Clarified

Geez - we still talking about this

I prefer to Park outside than going thru all this ... or maybe going to landmark or villajyo 

they probably make bicyclists use car parking spots and make us pay.

I have been always and still see that the parking fees are not justifiable and did not offer solution to the parking problemIt is only made to make the rich people pf city center richer :D and make our lives more complicated I went last last week to watch the Smurfs with my wife and son and had to pay 18 QR for parkingThey even have special parking rates for cinema users and they did not say itAnyways thanks Timebandit for the effort and information 

Point taken Business - but is it unreasonable to expect customers who are worried about the cost of parking overall to take into account that there are other customers to be served as well (maybe before them)? 

It's unfortunate it happened to you - maybe they should have a system like they do in the airport in my hometown (and in Muscat) - where you pay your parking at a machine before you get in your car, and you have to exit within a certain number of minutes (you feed another machine at the exit to the carpark with your receipt from the first machine)

vincecode you got charged for 4 hours with 2 hours free. How long were you actually in the car park for?

The charges are per hour or part there of - if 2 minutes or 52 minutes past the hour means you pay the full hour - it's not rocket science.

May i ask anyone. Which one is correct? your tabulation or the actual charge.

I park for 2 hours, have a grocery from carefoure amounting Qr. 220. i let the information stamp for free parking. but i was surprise they charge me for Qr. 13. i complain to the cashier, he replied what can i do? that is the machine charge.

Anyone can comment? which one is correct?

If purchases from other shops count, I don't know about it. They only told me about Carrefour and Cinema, they didn't even mention Fitness First to me, yet I see from a post above they offer an hour free.

The cinema rate is quite unfair. What if you only parked to watch 1 film? The first 3 hour should be for free.

You have to spend QR 100 or over in Carrefour, then take your reciept and car park ticket to the information kiosk opposite QNB. They will stamp your car park ticket and write on it what the discount is.

How to get considered as Carrefour Shopper to avail of the discount? Do we need to stamp the carrerour receipt of purchase? to whom?

Ahhh... good point fubar, take a gold star and go to the front of the class. I asked that question and was told only one offer applies.

I think I understand.  What if I see a movie AND go to Carrefour?Or am I just being difficult. Mind you, staying 6 hours and seeing a movie for just 17 riyals of parking is dirt cheap.

I am just back from City Center, and have clarified the actual rates for parking there. I spoke with staff and explained the amount of confusion and inconsistency revolving around their paid parking, and they explained the above rates.I asked about a receipt, and they said a receipt must be given if requested.I asked about the procedure if there is an attempt to charge anything other than the prices in the above chart. I was told that you can request to speak to a manager either by asking the cashier to call on your behalf, or by pressing the assistance button next to the booth.I asked if it was acceptable to request the name of a cashier in the event of a querie and was told that all cashiers have an individual ID number that you can request.But the main thing is, if there is an attempt to charge you anything over the amounts shown in the chart, request to see a manager.Don't forget to take you parking ticket and proof of purchase to the information desk before exiting for validation of the two offers.
