Calling oldies in Qatar re renewing driving license?

Can anyone told me how to renew the driving license here? Do i hv to re-sit the test again? Mine finished in September and i dont speak arabic so i am dreading to go to the traffic police :-(

you can apply for renewal of driving license online and then proceed to the traffic department for your eyetest.

If you are QP you may ( and I stress may) be able to take the eye test at RAA Medical Dept. I always took mine there.

Its very simple... those Sudanese outside will type it for you. I think 10 Riyals. They will ask you if you want them to do it. they charge QR. 25/- and its done.. no hassles. You can pay the renewal fees only by card they dont accept cash so make sure you have your ATM card with you.

cygnet_chay there before and she had her papers typed by the guy outside where they have small offices and she paid 70 Riyals only! I think! and you don't need to queue for an eye test and signatures from other important police woman.

Yes, novita, that's the one. You can save time by doing it online. The typists shouldn't take more than 10=15 riyals. I did it the e gov way last year.

i can just type the form through the ppl in front of the police station can't I? how much roughly the cost to do the typing?

Can i confirm it with you i can do the renewing in the traffic police the one near immigration underpass?

Yes, just an eye test. They assume once you got the license the first time your driving skills can only improve!

No, you just have to take a vision exam.

You go to traffic department, take the old one, have a form typed and take the vision test.

You can do it online at the e gov site but you still have to take the exam.
