As'Salaam!

There seems to be quite a few expat muslims on this forum. Just though it would be a good idea to see what everyones plans are for Eid-

what do you get up to? how do you find Eid in Doha? How does it compare to your home country? Can you do your own Qurbani here? etc. etc. etc.

Shukran!

in my home country people usually cut some lamb or cow and share it with the poor in the queue, then back to home make lamb satay with friends, so much joy! hey the whole district smells like lamb!!

well we have our own family plans, my in-laws have this great tradition of going to eid prayers and then coming home from prayers and just gathering with the family and listning to music, chatting, and playing with my son, until other extended family members arrive, in which then we have a big feast consisting of stuffed lamb and rice and gravy and the whole shebang. It is a great gathering of all family members and a great feast, after that we have a little nap and head out to a nice serene cafe with the family to have somewhere nice to sit and enjoy a cup of tea and desert or we head to the park for some outdoor fun.......now that is our plan for eid almost every eid. and since I was raised in canada we didn't have much of a eid over there so this is much better than back home.

enjoy your holidays and eid mubarak
