A brunch to Thai for

Finding authentic Thai food in Qatar is undoubtedly becoming easier thanks to a variety of options popping up around town, but delivering the perfect atmosphere to compliment the tastes of Thailand is where Westin Doha’s Sabai Thai Restaurant really leads the pack.
Located on the ground level of the hotel, the palace doors of the restaurant and soothing musical sounds of the Sabai Thai's resident Khim player, let you know your Thai experience kicks off right from the get-go.
We were recently invited to try out Sabai Thai’s Saturday brunch, and found ourselves spoilt for choice with the array of options available at buffet.
The menu is seemingly never ending, and offers more than enough to cater to any taste bud.
Some of the highlights (although we’d be hard pressed to pick a favourite) included:
SOM TAM THAI –Shredded green papaya salad with string bean, tomato, peanut in spicy lime dressing.
YAAM SOM-O GOONG –Herbed Thai pomelo salad with prawn, fried shallot, toasted coconut flake and cashew nut.
GAI PHAD MED MAMUANG –Stir-fried chicken with cashew nut, spring onion and chili paste.
Green Curry with braised beef.
Seafood red curry.
SATAY GAI –Grilled chicken skewer served with peanut sauce and cucumber relish.
SAGO CANTALOUPE –Water chestnut rubies in chilled coconut milk.
KHOW NIEW MAMAUNG –Coconut sticky rice with mango.
The Saturday brunch is perfect most any occasion, whether it be a social gathering, a family dining experience, or just a need to satisfy your Thai food craving.
