Can they make a big park and invite all school kids to do gardening there once a week? Qatar is very happy heart country but lot many times kids are sitting idle at home. So if they make a big park for gardening at least kids can grow loads of plants and trees for sometime. Parents or schools can arrange once a week kind of activities.
