The Baby Is Coming; Call the Photographer
Here's an interesting one - Birth Photography.
There are now specialist photographers offering such services and demand is at an all time high. People want to chronicle a rite of passage that is no less significant than a wedding..
So, my question - would you consider this or have you done something similar? Is it not a private and personal thing ?
Miss Mimi no big deal...
I was just trying to imagine how hectic it could get in there...lol
According to the article the photographer is usually not allowed down near the doctor, and has to stay up near the mother's head. I really don't see what the big deal is.
control mone control
Hey... somebody get that doctor out of the way... he is blocking the frame...
CAMERA Zoom in ... SOUND on.. CLAP
freeze action gotta get some still shots....
Live telecast anybody?
And repeat telecast on all MMS website ;)... you could even claim copyright fees...
I'm free! Lol!
Anyone wanting a photographer for such an event, you know where I am. No charge, but I will eat your fruit basket and chocolates. You can keep the flowers ;)
My husband took pictures throughout the birth of our son. Frankly, considering you're on display to a doctor, a couple of midwives and sometimes an anestheologist, I don't see why one more person shouldn't get in on the "fun"
Photographer... beautician, wardrobe assistant... lightmen, Second camera, camera dolly, dolly tracks, dolly pusher....
What next?
What is going on in this world?...
this is so strange. I think some moments should be kept only in mind :)
weird. i thought it's pretty common these days. when my first nephew was born back home the first thing the doctor asked is "where's the camera?" and it was a relatively strict hospital. they don't let fathers in the delivery room and they don't allow the babies out of the nursery until the moment they get to be discharged.
most of my friends who gave birth these past few years had their babies' pictures taken once they get out of the womb. they're mostly purple and so uncute yet but probably something worth putting on scrapbooks and school projects. or an answer to them when they grow up and ask where they came from, what they looked like. or if they're adopted/picked up on the streets/dropped by the stork/bought from the store. no one has to pay for them though. the nurses take the pics for the parents.
or decent exposure. Different people, different levels. What is thrilling to others is absurd to others, So let's give those people the thrill they want. It's their life, their rule.
If thee are people who could do sex publicly, why not this? If they can pose nude, why not this? There are more things to other may be bizarre but to some is a treasure.
Ewwwww.... who'd want to be there at "that moment"
I was 10 years old and I went to visit a friend. Photographs came up and among them were pictures of her entering the world. No professional photographer was there, I guess the husband took them.
Well, the pictures didn't scar me for life, but they did look weird to me at that time. And no, I would certainly not prefer it in my case. Memories should suffice for some special moments. Dunno why nowadays a few people want to capture each and every moment in photos. I find it absurd.
And like Fathima mentioned, the photos might be misused. That's the problem in today's world, any info online is not even 20% safe or reliable.
NEVER! I wouldn't let my husband in when I was giving birth, let alone capturing the moment for others to see. No way. I know you get some of those "giving birth is one of the most beautiful moment" types, but I'm certainly not one of them.
But yeah I can imagine folks doing that. Bet some of them post the pics on FB too *shudders*
Nuts. Like a xxx rated movie?
in case of misuse the price will cum down and no advance payment... :(
case there will be an alternate to carry on and again the price will vary with advance payment.....:D
the photographer can misuse then wat to do yaani
what if the photographer faints during delivery? :-(

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/17/us/now-in-the-delivery-room-forceps-camera-action.html?_r=1&hp

brit what if the baby does not come out thru normal procedure :?
Capturing such personal & precious moment ... No way not for me
LOL.. What do they "Capture" during the process? :D
You zoom lens wielding papdom munching flasher.. She pays the money in advance, so that the photographer is on standby..
how can a lady pay when she is delivering ? :(
People are spending a lot of money for this service.. One lady recently paid nearly 7000 QR..
if the baby was rajnikanth then u know wat will happen to the photographer
"The Baby is Coming...Call the (damn) Photographer "...isnt that sound odd ? :)
The purpose is memories - something to look mback on in your old age :O)
No, I wouldn't want to see it again.
see even our highness is not interested chapter closed
No thank you, I would not have liked to be photographed giving birth.
I also do not like to look at photographs memorizing such an occasion.
After,yes of course!!!!
Purpose is to get some extra bucks doing weired kinda things ! :(
No way...I dont want anyone else watching such private/personal moments...
Whats the purpose anywayz?
Where are we heading? Photography during birth? Am hearing it for first time and am shocked too.
u must be having more than 1 kid if u miss any one delivery dont miss the next one
for me its jus a FAD, Fkuck or watever u call it !
Most important is the BABY not the pic and how the hell one will get time to click the pic when he sees a person suffering frm pain in front of him ?
r husbands allowed in at the time of birth ?
I must admit that I did not attend the birth of my children - but I doubt whether I would ever consider allowing a photographer to record the birth(s).
So, would you agree to it ? Does it really serve a purpose in the long run or is it just a fad ?
in M.E, i think they wont allow this services - if i am right ?
if u can show ur moobs nothing is private or personal
When I see it on TV, it freaks me out, but I've actually delivered a number of babies without breaking a sweat. It really goes a lot smoother in real life ^_*
