CAIRO - The Arab League on Sunday called on the Syrian authorities to “immediately” stop the violence that has rocked the country since mid-March, in the pan-Arab body’s first official statement on the unrest.
League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi “calls on the Syrian authorities to bring an end immediately to acts of violence and campaigns by the security forces against civilians,” the statement said.
It seems things are beginning to move. Saudi Arabia (which is no strabger to using force to subdue dissention) has recalled its ambassador to Syria. The USA has also voiced clear concerns. I think Assad will have to relent for now.
hypocracy on its topat one hand they are supporting western violence in Libya, where as on the other side they are condemning Asad............Strange!!!
You seem to know it so well. The problem is they used to worship this leaders and now when they dont want them the leaders dont want to leave the place and their seats
JUST HOPE AND HOPE AND HOPE AND HOPE , BELEIVE ME ARAB STILL NEED TIME TO BE LIKE HUMAN BEING
shouldn't this be posted in funnies?
...and that is if the arab league does not go back to sleep again and wake up for the next general meeting in Oct.2012
