AN APPEAL FOR A SMALL PIECE OF LAND IN DOHA FOR AN OFFROAD RACE TRACK:

We, Qatar Remote Control Racing Group (QRCRG) are a non profit group of offroad remote control cars - hobbyists here in Qatar. It has been almost 6 years now since we are taking leisure racing our offroad RC cars at the back of Doha Golf Club, a piece of land that we have squatted for quite sometime. The race track was formed by pieces of wood connected to each other to make a simple race lanes, a sound race stand constructed out of scrap timbers, each members devoted time and effort, even shed own money to make this hobby come true; this is were we found joy once a week after working for a living from our far away home.

It is very unfortunate that we are asked to leave the place to give way for the Construction Project that is very significant to this location's development. Sad though, but we are still very grateful to the owner of the land (hope he reads this letter) for lending us the place for many years - thank you so much!

Qatar Olympic Committee has sponsored a race for QRCRG and will be held at the same place (Back of Doha Golf) on January 6, 2011 - this will also be our last day playing/racing on this ground. And so we are appealing to anybody could help us or lend us a piece of land where we can build again a race track and continue the joy we are looking forward once a week.
