You know why sikhs keep long Hairs and beard.

If you have noticed all the Great Saints like

Jesus christ, Mohammad, Guru Nanak dev ji and many more have long hairs and beards. Long hairs and beards signify to Saints and Kripan (Sword) signify to Soldiers.

Sixth Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib ji used to wear two kirpans, one for miri(Military Power) and one for piri (Spiritual Power).

Piri means meditation of god (Bhakti) and Miri means to fight against the cruelty (Julam)and injustice.Long hairs and kirpan signify to Saint Soldiers.Thats why sikhs keep long hairs and Kirpan.

Sikhs wear the kirpan over the body and it is visible to all.

If you read the History of Sikhs, the wars fought by the Gurus of Sikh religion, were either to defend themself or against the tyranny and injustice but not to win other's empire.

But that was what Soft007 was pointing at (am i right Soft)

I believe it is heresay propagated during the times of unrest probably at the time of the participation.

But anyway even i know some Sikh people and they are peaceful i agree.

Shuaibkazi... as far as I know long hair is prescribed so that a Sikh cannot remain undistinguishable from people of other relegions. how can he hide himself with hair and turban on his head and with a flowing beard?

and your reasoning for their not cutting the hair(hiding the sword ) sounds quite comic as I am yet to see a sikh who would hide his 'kripan' inside his hair (for killing a muslim or whatever other purpose)even if it was possible to do so.

I do know quite a few sikhs n they have come across as quite nice people in my experience. Also the custom of long hair is less prevalent among them as far as I know.

Who dares,wins!

i dont know about the HUT or whatever they call themselves and what they do

I judge a Muslim by the Quran and the authentic hadith

If what they do is according to above, i dont have a problem but if its otherwise i really wudnt care for them

And ones opinion is his own, and moreover if i wrote something i wud gladly put my name against it rather than (written by a Sikh Youth)

i know why they dont cut their hair,

so that they can hide their knifes and attack any muslim individual they come across,

But i didnt want to bring it up

Seriously Shuaibkazi, whether Sikhism is an offshoot of Islam or not, the current relationship between the two faiths is like this one.

Yeah it's the answer. It makes complete sense to never ever cut your hair and wear a big bag on your head to keep it in. I'm sure whichever supernatural god fairy that created the world and the universe is going to absolutely demand that we all have really long hair or they'll be no afterlife for us.

Please stop being so blind all of you. There is no god, you're going to die, live your one life to the fullest, enjoy bacon, get pissed and cut your hair

At one point in their history Sikhs were either hindus or muslims

There religious teaCHER declared himself as a prophet of sorts and

Now an interesting fact

Adi gRanth takes most of its principles from the Quran, so its no biggy that it mentions the Big bang and the round earth(though in the Quran the shape is of a sphere which is more correct) etc.

The book was compiled by studying the faith of islam with two of his muslim friends namely Sheikh Farid, and Kabir.

He never claimed divinity though but installed the principle of One God (Same as Islam) and the priesthood (Not important in Islam atall).

Is this a game of jeapody?

"Deaths in the Bible. God - 2,270,365

not including the victims of Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the

many plagues, famines, fiery serpents, etc because no specific numbers

were given. Satan - 10."

For some morons, yes, Sikhism is the absolute answer! These morons are such people who try to find meaning of life by criticizing principles of heavenly religions. Their station, my friend, is Hellfire! This article have just reassured me that Heaven is not easy and Hell is not pointless...

Like some other religions, the concepts and the ideology of Sikhism are commendable, but some of the followers get off track.

Just type "Sikh terrorists" into your favorite search engine for examples. It is shocking.
