Ahmadiyya community denied relief in Pakistan

Teluguy
By Teluguy

For its part, the government claims that all relief goods are being distributed among survivors without discrimination. And that all survivors have been sheltered in relief camps without distinction. The flood-devastated families from the Ahmadiya community have strongly criticised the government’s “discriminatory attitude” even at a time when the entire country is reeling from the ravages of the worst flooding in living memory.

This is really pathetic. I strongly condemn it. Where is our humanity gone?

If you want to raise your voice do it at right place. Like I do. If I need change in Saudi Govt. I will not bark here in Qatar living, there are forums, there are ways to report abuse. Even if you want change in Qatar then approach Arabic media.

Maligning will not bring any change, intentions do matter.

ecosavvy, it is sad that you chose to point fingers at others instead of acknowledging the weakness within. This is the same attitude that is not letting us develop into what we are supposed to be. Advisng others to pray and get saved is our favourite hobby without realising what we are. Discrimination and hatred for qadianis(Ahmadiyas) is universal. I have heard many muslims sending lanath(God's curse) on them. Hence I don't rule out the truth in this news. When we are not supposed to hate non muslims in what way we are entitled to hate qadianis? If such is our behavior then it has to change. I have not posted this to weigh other problems with this but to address this perticular problem. Hence I hope people stop comparing this issue with what is happening elsewhere and voice their concern over this discrimination in human interest.

A local Surrey(UK) newspaper has reported that extremists are disseminating leaflets in the local area, urging Muslims to kill the Ahmadiyya.

Extracts from the Surrey Comet:

A police investigation was launched last month, after police saw leaflets being handed out calling on Muslims to murder Qadiyanis, a derogatory term for Ahmadiyya Muslim...

[...]

A teenage Ahmadiyya girl, who did not want to be named, said she was "shaken and scared" after being handed a leaflet written in Urdu saying: "kill a Qadiyani and doors to heaven will be open to you."

Surrey is home to a large Ahmadiyya community, and is also the location of the Baitul Futuh Mosque, the largest Ahmadiyya mosque in the country. It is no coincidence that extremists have targeted this area: they are attempting to sow distrust and sectarian hatred between the Ahmadiyya and other Muslim groups in the hope of creating a similar situation to that of Pakistan, where this small community is regularly persecuted. The terrorist attacks on two of their mosques in Lahore, which killed 80 people, are perhaps the bloodiest examples of Islamist hatred for these people.

This should be taken as a warning that extremist ideology continues to gain traction in Britain, and a reminder that the fates of Pakistan and Britain in this regard are inexorably linked; what happens there will eventually trickle through the many connections that are here in Britain.

According to the British Ahmadiyya's national president, Rafiq Hayat:

Freedom of speech one thing, but incitement of hatred is another matter. We want the authorities to nip this in the bud, otherwise this campaign of hatred against Ahmadi Muslims will grow into a threat against other moderate Muslims and indeed the wider society.

In giving this issue a broader context, he has hit the nail on the head. Attacks, be they physical or verbal, on the Ahmadiyya should not be seen in isolation: the often murderous hatred of this community is part of the extremist ideology espoused by numerous Islamist organisations, including al-Qaeda. In other words, those who want to kill the Ahmadiyya are not a long way from wanting to kill everyone else who doesn't agree with them.

Do they have separate tape for drinking water unlike Dalit the lowest and untouchable caste in India?

In India you will find a lot of stories about Dalit (Putted at lowest caste) and untouchable for other casts, at random sampling from newspaper you will see such horrible news about them

"Dalit boy beaten to death for plucking flowers";

"Dalit tortured by cops for three days";

"Dalit 'witch' paraded naked in Bihar";

"Dalit killed in lock-up at Kurnool";

"7 Dalits burnt alive in caste clash";

"5 Dalits lynched in Haryana";

"Dalit woman gang-raped, paraded naked";

"Police egged on mob to lynch Dalits"

better you turn your finger to your own face, and clean your own shit.

Do you actually see distrubtors are asking for passport or ID copies to verify who is who?

Ground relatiies are differnet and distrubion itself is a cumbersome process let alone add the process for someone to verify people belifies.

Stop speculating and if you can help the needy!!
