If you are worried about money, remember that dog care is not cheap here.

You need to pay out

Vaccinations 500QR

Food, about 250QR a month

Deworming about 40-60QR every 3 months

Kennels, depends on size but at least 75QR a day

Accessories, treats etc are also very expensive here.

If the dog is sick it is a MINIMUM 150QR to consult the vet, add drugs, treatment etc, usually a visit costs 300QR

The following is quoted from QAWS adoption page that is located at http://www.qaws.org/adoption/adoption.php

Adopting for the WRONG reasons :

4. Because you want to surprise someone with a gift. All pets should be considered as family members and not as objects or gifts. Never, ever buy a pet for someone as a surprise. Giving someone a pet as a surprise when that person is not prepared to take care of a pet, will just end in despair.....for the pet. Pets given as gifts are more likely to end up being re-homed or worse euthanised.

Good Luck !!

There's a petshop located along Faridge Naseer... but I always encourage people to adopt instead of buying it from petshops.. for more info. visit www.qaws.org.

Go to Qaws. They have animals for adoption. You can chech out their site here on QL by using the search above.

Dont buy any animals in the pet shops. They are expensive & not so healthy.
