My kids bought two baby turtles, swimmer and spider, two weeks ago. Both were very happy, playful and good eaters. Spider is still eating very well but from about five days Swimmer has stopped eating;she is still active and happy though. We have been feeding them the bxed food we had purchased from the pet store. What should we do to help this turtle eat? PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!!!

The Ramada has many Turtles and are very good at looking after them, you can always ask the staff there. Last year at the vet clinic I worked in, a lady brought her turtle because he wouldn't eat. The vet recommended giving cat food for a few days and the lady called and said he was crazy for it and it got his strength back so try that. It's a good idea to take it to the vets, or ring them for advice. Good luck.

I would sat take it to this doctor for animals, maybe the one across from villaggio, or if this doesn't work out, you could give dr doolittle a call, he's very good.

Have you tried offering him other things? What's her personaliy like, is he skittish?

Is it possible that she suffered some sort of trauma when out of the tank, swallowed something?

Check your tank temps for about 80 degrees F.

Turtles can go a while without food.

As long as it is otherwise healthy, this is not the end of the world.

We have had some animals from the pet store a number of times and they only survived for a few weeks and died. Before that they stopped eating and moving a bout.Take it to the shop and they surely will help u.The climate and environment here do not help these animals.
