Hello everyone

I am interested to own a cat for years finally i ahve decided, i am thinking to get a Chincilla from Souq, and when Im going out of country I will take Hera ofcourse with me.
Just being in Doha for 2,5 months and the villa here is a good opportunity to have the kitten around

Have you got any other idea where I can get a healty kitten?

What are the rules for pets in Doha is there any regulations about ?

Any veterinary surgeon recommended?

Anyone wants to adobt her/his baby kitten ?

Thanks in advance...

I went to the Souk on friday and all the kittens I saw had Ringworm. Most also had diarrhoea. Ringworm costs a lot of money to cure, for the donation you give Qaws for a healthy and socialised kitten or cat you are not only helping save a life, you are also not supporting the illegal import of not only unhealthy kittens but also endangered wild animals such as monkeys and parrots.

Thank you Aisha for that...

Yes, what Aisha says is the truth.. do not buy animals from pet shops in Doha. The conditions that the animals are kept in are a 99% health risk.

Most animals bought in pet shops here, don't make it as they are already carrying viruses when they enter Qatar, which then incubates due to the stress of the travel and the disgusting environment they are subjected to.

If you look at QAWS of Qatar Vet Centre or The Vet Surgery, to find a healthy animal.

Please take Aisha's advice regarding reading the Pet and Animal group's threads to give you a better idea.

There are so many cats that need adopting and I suggest you go that route. Qaws and most of the vet centres have cats/kittens at their place. Do the rounds and choose the one you like. Dont buy from a shop as you dont know their health condition. Check the animals & pets section here on QL and you will get all the info.
