Thundery rain and dust storms reported in different parts of Qatar

After a brief lull, dust storms and thundery rain have come back to Qatar.

There have been many reports of heavy rains in different parts of the country. Qatar’s Met Department had earlier in the day said there were chances of thundery rains until Monday.

The Civil Aviation authority issued several tips to stay safe during thunderstorms. It urged people to remain indoors, to avoid staying beneath high tress, electricity poles and atop roofs. It also asks people to stay away from open waters and to make sure to close all windows while inside cars.
