Qatar office rents to continue falling over next three years, says report

Oversupply will cause office and commercial property rents in Qatar to nosedive over the next three years, according to a new report by Doha-based Al Asmakh Real Estate Development Company.
The opening of several new ready-to-occupy facilities, as well as the prospect of more such facilities coming to the market soon, have put rental values under pressure.
More office spaces are expected to come into the market until 2019 and it is sure to reduce rents further.
However, the reverse trend is seen in the demand for smaller offices, ranging from 100 to 150sqm.
The trend of public companies renting out entire buildings as offices, especially in West Bay area, has fallen sharply.
