The Qatar National Day is here, and people are getting ready to celebrate it with great poise, pride, patriotism, and loyalty.

The grand ceremonial armed forces parade, which takes pride of place among all celebrations, will begin at the Doha Corniche at 2.45pm. If you are planning to attend, here is Qatar Living’s guide regarding arrangements for the same.

The parade will be preceded by a classic car show along the Doha Corniche. A spectacular 10-minute fireworks show will begin at 8pm today. Al Kass TV channel will broadcast the National Day parade as it happens.

In addition to the National Day Parade, some other activities have been planned all around the country by public and private institutions. These are expected to draw people by their thousands.

Darb Al Saai will be the main venue of National Day festivities. It will host some entertainment and cultural activities. It will be the perfect place to visit for families.

Souq Waqif and Katara Cultural Village are also getting ready to welcome visitors to its midst.

Meanwhile, officials had come out with a list of things to keep in mind while decorating vehicles for National Day.

The Doha Corniche has been decked with colorful flags, bunting and festoons. The primary platform was recently expanded and beautified for the parade and celebrations.

The motto of Qatar National Day 2018 is ‘As long as it was proven by our deeds … Qatar remains free.’
