Qatar condemns terror attack on Charlie Hebdo

Qatar expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of Wednesday's attack by gunmen on the premises of Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris, which killed and injured several people, mostly journalists.

In a statement issued yesterday, the Foreign Ministry stressed that such acts against defenceless civilians contradict all moral principles and human values.

The ministry extended condolences and sympathy to the French government and the families of the victims, wishing them a speedy recovery.

The French government has launched a manhunt in an effort to capture the suspects. According to recent developments, French police have been able to track the location of suspects.

However, the ordeal is far from over as suspects have taken hostages in a shop and the police is plotting ways to free them, LBC reports.

Two of the suspects have been identified as Cherif, 32, and Said Kouachi, 34, according to a report by The Sun.

If the next Liberation Charlie Hebdo issue is a satirical #cartoon about the Holocaust Would that be a freedom of expression or anti-semitism ?

Between "The Freedom of Speech" and "Hatred" there is a factor called "WISDOM". I did not see any "WISDOM" in the actions of both Charlie and those who killed him.

A wise person would not do something which hurts other community members even in personal life..in my opinion publicizing such things which a hurts a particular community is not WISE at all.

When the extremists don't really value their own religious teaching, how could they value your absurd freedom of speech which helps no one , except you make some money or a confused fame?

The egghead David would have walked or call for a protest when one of his closed allies closed many media outlets, put many journalists behind bar without trial and killed the freedom of speech with bullets and tanks.

Hypocrisy itself would feel disgusted being possessed by this confused leaders who talk one thing and do another thing and change their promises so often.

I'd say their is a lot more of concern and worry in the Islamic world than worrying so much about cartoons. Please before you start criticism, I not having a go at Islam at all , however some people really need to put things into perspective. If a cartoon upsets you, perhaps yoou should rethink your objectives.

The terrorist attack and taking lives must be condemned. But "Free Speech" does not mean that some sick minded pathetic losers start attacking other religions (what so ever the religion may be). "Freedom of Choice" also does not mean that people are allowed to wear skimpy and indecent attires but not allowed to cover their heads and face. What a Hippocratic peace of mind!

How incredibly ironic that the moderator of Qatar Living does not recognise Free Speech. It is appalling that you are condoning the attack while the Qatar govt condemns it!

Any way by now Charlie Hebdo must have learnt a lesson the consequences of publishing Cartoons.
