
PM inaugurates Milipol Qatar 2021

One of the biggest and most important events hosted by Qatar in the field of internal security and civil defense, Milipol Qatar, kicked off with its 13th edition yesterday at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center.
His Excellency Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani officially opened the exhibition in the presence of several dignitaries and representatives of participating countries.
Being held in line with precautionary measures against COVID-19, the 13th edition of Milipol Qatar brings together exhibitors from over 70 international companies, representing 17 countries.
At the opening yesterday, HE the PM toured the different pavilions at the exhibition and viewed the advanced devices and equipment that focuses on boosting safety and security.

HE Sheikh Khalid also witnessed the signing of a deal between the government of Qatar and the government of the French Republic to partner in the fields of security for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
A protocol between the Security Committee of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy in Qatar and the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Interior of the Italian Republic, in the domains of public order and security management of major sports events, was also inked in the presence of HE the PM.
Milipol Qatar 2021 hosts five international pavilions representing Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. Individual pavilions of international companies are also set up to ensure the provision of a wide range of regional requirements.
The prominent event responds to a major part of the increasing security requirements of Qatar, which comes in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The exhibition, which will run until March 17, will also see three seminars that include educational presentations on security information and significant discussions by a number of thought leaders on topics such as cybersecurity, cyber threats, and managing the security of major events.
