PHCC introduces measures to improve entry and waiting process at QNCC
Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced that several new measures have been taken to improve the entry and waiting process for patients who want to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at the National Vaccination Center.
The National Vaccination Center is located at the Qatar National Convention Centre and authorities taking part in the development and implementation of the new measures include Hamad Medical Corporation, PHCC, the Ministry of Interiors, Al Fazaa, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, QNCC and Qatar Red Crescent.
This development is part of a continuous effort to ensure the safety and security of those wishing to receive the vaccine, especially with the expansion of the groups eligible for vaccination, and is designed to protect the general public, the medical and administrative staff, and the organizers working at the vaccination center.

With rising demand for vaccination at the center, new arrangements have been established in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
A working team has been formed to study and evaluate the arrival and waiting mechanism with the objective of providing greater levels of safety and comfort for everyone at the center.
It was also decided that the corridors be open on the ground floor with separate waiting areas for men and women.
Moreover, the center’s main parking spots are now being utilized as a point of arrival at the vaccination center to avoid exposure to the high outdoor temperatures.
Furthermore, a cafeteria service will be introduced for the public while they wait to receive their COVID-19 vaccination. The plans are flexible and open to further modification if needed based on the situation and the center’s operations.
According to PHCC, the new mechanism is designed to make it easier to receive the vaccine without breaching any safety protocols.
Patients will receive an SMS showing the time and date of their appointment and must present a valid QID when arriving for their vaccine.
The National Vaccination Center operates from 7 am to 10 pm throughout all seven days of the week.
