Are you scared by the prospects of visiting Doha’s West Bay area during peak traffic hours? Then this news is sure to give you the best start to your morning today.

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) is actively considering building public parking facilities in the area including underground ones, reported Qatar Tribune.

It is understood that the MME is looking at available land for public parking facilities. Once the work is complete, a huge number of parking slots are expected to come into existence. Parking facilities at various towers are also expected to be open to the public.

Basic plans have already been approved and construction is expected to commence soon.

Brit: Suggest you book a parking space on a permanent basis as one QLer "will go there every day." Just for your information, Tuk-Tuk is not allowed in the West Bay area as Tuk-Tuk drivers wear Lungis which is considered a rather revealing dress by the residents of that area. )-

It has affected me a lot - In emergencies , I either take a taxi or ask Rizks to drop me off on his Tuk-Tuk
