More thundery rain heading Qatar’s way as unstable conditions persist
It seems the days of rains in Doha are not yet over. Qatar’s meteorological department has said that parts of the country are set to receive more rain, sometimes thundery and heavy, at least until Monday morning.
Today, thundershowers have also been forecast in offshore areas along with strong winds and high seas, reported Gulf Times.
Qatar had experienced a couple of rainy spells in February and this is the third one in about a month’s time. The latest spell started on Thursday and gained momentum as the weekend progressed.
Yesterday, the Met department had suggested that the state of atmospheric instability was due to an upper-level low-pressure system and that it was expected to continue until today morning.
