Ministry officials register nine violations by outlets
As part of ongoing inspection campaigns, inspectors from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce have registered nine violations of the law of consumer protection, reported The Peninsula.
The inspectors conducted surprise raids on several shops selling vegetables, fruits and fish in different parts of the country. The campaign has led to the registration of nine violations, including non-display of price lists in visible places and lack of compliance with the prices.
The inspection campaign aims at monitoring the local market and commercial activities to protect the rights of consumers and monitor suppliers’ compliance with Law No. 8 of 2008 on consumer protection.
The law stipulates punishments, including administrative closure and fines ranging between QR3,000 and QR1m.
The Ministry urged consumers to report any abuse or irregularities. The Ministry receives complaints and suggestions through its communication channels.

When do these idiots at MEC understand that their announcements mean nothing if they don't name and shame the shops at the same time. Qatar, you make me laugh.
And where is the list of the shops? So far it could be any shop. So, stop buying food, friends!
