The Earth Hour, a symbolic demonstration to raise public awareness on the importance of conserving natural resources and thus protecting the Earth from climate change and global warming, got a good response from the public this year as well.

HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada led the celebrations organized by Qatar’s water and electricity body Kahraama, reported Gulf Times.

Several major institutions from around Qatar joined in on the celebration, which takes place every year on the last Saturday of March, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.

Several institutions took to social media to talk about how they celebrated the occasion.
